Actually this is a fan base award show. The fans vote and choose the winner. Last year Chris won and they gave it to Usher because CB did a no show. A couple of news people who were back stage reported it that CB name was the winner and they change his name. Hopefully they will do him justice this year.

To explain my picks and predictions: I am a big Beyonce fan (not stan) and I feel that 4 was one of her best works ever. However I do feel that the way it has been promoted up until the release of Countdown was a hot f****** mess. Adele is a great talent and she deserves an AMA to make up for the fact that she was shut out at the VMA’s. How ironic. They honor S****** Spears and forget real talent.
But let’s be real here. Kelly Rowland has only had one big hit this year and doesn’t have a large fanbase yet. Beyonce only had one big hit this year (so far [Best Thing I Never Had which peaked one spot higher than Motivation on the Hot 100]) but she has a damn crazy fanbase who will back her. She will probably win at least once. Adele, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry have been snatching wigs this year with all their #1 hits, so they’ll each get at least one award.

Most icons and legends become iconic because they are marketed as unique and one-of-a-kind; but if I can find 12 of you at any WIC office, bus stop, or inner-city high school chorus room, your time in the spotlight will probably be short (if you get any time at all).
No Concept of Scale
Stans of basic b****** have no concept of scale. To them one #1 single on the c*** stations = 10 years of worldwide success; opening for J. Holiday at the Bonner Brothers hair show is the same as headlining a soccer stadium with 50,000 people, and one BET Award nomination is better than 20 Grammy wins. Stans of basic b****** are not used to success, so they usually try to make small achievements 1000x bigger than what they are.
Lack of Promotion
Sometimes the problem with the promotion of basic b****** is not because of mainstream apathy, but the stans themselves. If the small fanbase you do have likes you for doing basic R&B or simple dance-pop, it may be too much of a risk to experiment with different genres of music. It may be hard to change your fashion style and wear haute couture when your fan base shops at Fashion Bug, and you can’t create any elaborate creative videos, because your simple-minded fans would say you’re a part of the Illuminati. Basic b****** remain basic because their fans lack the desire,exposure, and mental capacity to see them be anything other than basic. You could reinvent yourself and possibly attract new fans, or you could fail and lose what few fans you have; it’s too much of a risk, so more often than not most basic b****** will forever remain basic.

Yes, I am very disappointed in this development. I love the Countdown video though! I’m going to need Beyonce to stop copying, barrowing, or feeling inspired by others.
