Let’s hope this new sound flaunts a clear and organic progression from her previous work as opposed to sounding like a vague attempt to generate higher sales.
For imagine the shame if Hilson abandoned her core audience only to be rejected by the listeners she was trying to reach out to.

Keri seemed to have a promising “Energy” came out.Her first mistake,however,came with the remix to “Turnin’ Me On” where not only were perceived disses handed out to Ciara,but they were handed out to Beyonce,who has a big fanbase for an urban artist.(Remember,as someone stated,Beyonce stans are known for locking the offense for reference.) Her second Mistake came when she said that “she wasn’t going to sell s**” in an interview yet she comes out with a song with lyrics like “The way you f*** me” and “You got one more time to feel on my booty”.These actions,paired along with her words,make her seem very contradicting of herself.Her third mistake is the same as Kelly Rowland’s,She did NOT strike the pot while it is hot and missed an opportunity to build upon the success of her single.(Instead,Keri Hilson performed the song over and over and over again.) Her FINAL mistake (and some people may chastise me for this) is that she switched from “Keri Hilson” to what is basically a watered down version of Rihanna and Beyonce.

Well I like Keri and loved ‘No Boys Allowed’. It sucked how bad it did especially since it actually had really good material on it and her promo was on point. I just can’t get excited about this news just yet. People always hype up their album saying their going in a ‘new direction’ and it’s gonna be ‘shocking’ to get the anticipation to build and I am just not falling for it. Sadly I just don’t think that too many people are checking for Keri which is obvious by her lack of album sales, or lack there of. *shrugs*
Going in a new direction could be a good look for her but I just hope if she is going to be ‘shocking’ it’s nothing like the ‘TWYLM” video! That s*** was atrocious and was just a failed attempt at getting attention! She had a nice lil lead with ‘Pretty Girl Rock’ but she just completely dropped the ball with ‘TWYLM’. I think that just completely turned people of. She needs to stay far away from the overly sexual s***, a lot of artist sell s** but for some reason it just doesn’t work for her!
Her last album just completely got ignored and its just crazy cause she had some of her best material on there but she just didn’t go with the best singles. I was praying she was gonna release ‘All the Boys’ *sighs*. I can see how traveling and seeing the world can give you inspiration and I hope that she comes up with some good matertial and can have some success next time around.
I still don’t really think that Keri is ever going to be a big successful solo artist and that writing is probably still her best bet, but good luck to her anyways.
