Watch: Jennifer Hudson Honors Clive Davis With ‘Hallelujah’

Published: Friday 18th Nov 2011 by Rashad

Despite landing the diva in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons (see: armpits, knees), ‘I Got This’ songstress Jennifer Hudson still wowed the crowd when she got down to business lending her soaring vocals to the classic ‘Hallelujah’ and her own hit ‘Spotlight‘.

On hand at the fourth annual Martha Stewart Centre for Living at Mount Sinai gala in New York to honor industry mentor/legend Clive Davis, see more pics find out how Hudson fared on the numbers after the jump:

Thanks to MJ and Daily Mail!

Hudson will be joining Justin Bieber and Cee Lo Green for this year’s TNT aired ‘Christmas In Washington’ and ‘Vh1 Divas Celebrates Soul’ (set to air on December 19th at 9pm).

Clive get this girl more songs like Where You At, Hallelujah and Stand Up where she can show off her true vocal ability. She can’t be made contemporary, she has to be marketed just like she is….. the new Aretha Franklin.

Beautiful vocal job!!! I love the control and the power used within the dynamics of the song.

@Dee J. Huds’ vocals has always been considered singing. The problem is you think pop tarts like Rihanna, Ciara, Keri… are actual singers. NOT!
