Pop titan Lady GaGa lived up to her billing in Belfast tonight, when she rocked the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards with a rousing showing of her latest single ‘Marry The Night’.

Ever the eccentric, this was always going to be a stage spectacular. However, what it couldn’t distract from was how glaringly sub-par the track is in comparison to her other singles from this album and her prior efforts.

Subpar?
Marry The Night has been a fan favorite since the cd dropped. It was clear that it would eventually become a single, since during promos for the album, she would always talk about how the song was so autobiographical concerning her days as a New York young buck, partying all night long.
Although I hate to say it, I feel like her live performances lately have been kind of stale. This performance did nothing for me, and I was sort of bored with it.
I never got to see The Monster Ball, but from what I heard, it was such a creative show. I hope all her creativity wasn’t spent on just that tour.
the song is so….dated
i love gaga but i hope frank gatson had nothing to do with that choreo cause i see deja vous dance moves in there at the end. and the artist who always does the hair flipping thingy is always ridiculed for it but for gaga it is ok! i see

Really Gaga? This was extremely boring. If Bey, Rihanna (or any artist for that matter) gave this lack luster performance they would not be spared any harsh criticisms. Gaga’s simply not very strong live and all her gimmicks are starting to catch up with her. To be frank, it’s obvious that she’s not the 2nd coming of Madonna.

It was actually one of her tolerable performances, especially compared to the true monstrosity that were all the ‘Judas’ performances 😕 It had some vision, it had some interesting fashion (even though she took it way too far once again) and a cool setting that wasn’t too busy.While far from amazing, it was decent.
However, I was kind of surprised when I saw her tossing the Blonde Ambition reject wig she had on a la Britney and Beyonce.GaGa is the only female that can “borrow elements” from 3 other females simultaneously 😆
Ummmm….Gaga is a great performer and great vocalist live…..but her outfit was just sooooo Grace Jones….i mean come on now…wtf was that thing that she wore….she didnt dance..like come on Gaga if i were you I would have been dancing my ass off….but instead she stood on top of some damn plastic moon…..like WHAT THE F*** WAS THAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Marry The Night may be a stan favorite but Heavy Metal Lover SLAYS the living S*** out of that song.I don’t care what anyone says,Me and the others agree….HML needs to be a single.
If not,I’ll settle for Black Jesus † SLAYmen Fashion (even if it sounds like a Madonna song and even if it is a bonus track.)

I love Marry the Night, but as somebody say here Heavy Metal Lover is best, howerver i see that thing in her head before in Grace Jones, if only she would be more original. as for the performance, was good to me.

I want to see how long she would take the extravagance, at some point the people will get tired of all this, she can’t based her whole career on that. I actually love this performance. I loved that she stayed on the moon so she could really display her vocal talent on this song.
