VH1 To Produce TLC Bio Pic

As one of the world’s most iconic groups to date, TLC remain one Pop entity that remain just as respected today as they were in their prime.

Now, the news their fans have been waiting for has finally arrived.

VH1 is to produce a film based on the trio’s groundbreaking  story.

All the details below…

To be written by Kate Lanier, responsible for Tina Turner‘s ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It‘ movie, the television movie is set to begin shooting next year and will air on the channel some months later.

With the group’s two surviving members signed on to serve as consultants, the project will follow the trio’s lives from their  humble beginnings in the earlier part of 90s to the well publicized success they enjoyed at the turn of the millennium with the release of their smash hit single ‘No Scrubs‘.

As of now, very little is known with regards to which actors will take on which roles but confirmation of the movie’s cast list is expected to surface in coming weeks.

who wants to see that?I grew up on TLC’s music and I don’t care to see a movie about the damn group’s personal life. I guess someone else will but I mean Left Eye is dead so who’s going to tell her side of the story. I think they should shelve it!

@TrucieBedford: It’s a bio-pic, not about there life. Did you read the post? I guess not. Its about how they rose and how the lost- shady dealings with management, how Left Eye died, T-Boz illness and how she hid it while they were on tour, and where are they now. Your not a true fan of TLC , a true fan will support T-Boz and Chilli and there decision to show it to the fans who stood by them. I will see this film when it comes out. I was a fan of them since I was 12 years old and till this day I still listen to there records especially Ooooh on the TLC Tip and Crazy S*** Cool. Also Lisa’s family is supporting it, if they weren’t do you think T-Boz and Chilli will do this? I never hear one single negative issue between Lisa’s family and the two girls. Your just hating for no reason, that a darn shame.

Its about TIME! Ive been waiting on a moment like this for so long and its finally here! TLC is and will always be the best group ever. They were so influential and different which made them stand out better than any group around. You see SWV and you compare them to EnVogue. You see Destinys Child and you compare them to The Supremes. TLC couldnt be compared because they each with their own styles blended to make great music. I cant wait to see who’s gonna play who in the script. The day this movie is released (if the Lord wills) will mark the best day of my life since the release of TLC’s album 3D.

HANDS DOWN!! BEST FEMALE GROUP OF ALL TIME!! THEY NEED NEW MUSIC!!

  16. iSimplyDGAF December 4, 2011

I agree. BEST FEMALE GROUP OF ALL TIMES. They werent over sexualized…they werent trying to be something they’re not…they were all on the same page and just wanted to be group. Its a shame what happened to Lisa. They were huge. And they better pick a bomb ass cast to portray them!
