Love her or loathe her, Amber Rose is one woman the world just can’t seem to get enough of.
Rising to fame as the lover of Hip Hop Royal Kanye West, recent years have seen the one time dancer become more renowned for her work as a model, more recently in association with Smirnoff in support of their latest line of whipped cream flavored Vodka.
Now, in a bid to both boost her public profile and follow in the footsteps of fellow socialite Kim Kardashian, she has tried her hand at music, with ‘Fame‘.
Listen below…
As much as we’d like to commend Rose for attempting to deliver a well thought out commentary on contemporary fame culture, we’re sorry to say that this track is almost as disingenuous as she is.
For, as much as recent interviews have helped to shed a positive light on what had other wise been a questionable persona , Amber is and always will be a shameless attention seeker, and that is why we can’t take the reflective nature of this number seriously.
Vocally, her delivery was just as weak as her suggestion that she does not care for the ‘Fame’ we all know she remains so desperate to attain and when it comes to the depth of lyrics- the jokes really write, patent and copyright themselves.
Such a shame, if she sounded as good as she looked this might just have been a masterpiece.
