Madonna Hits #1 in 49 Countries…And Counting?

Published: Friday 3rd Feb 2012 by Rashad

Don’t call it a comeback.

Looks like fans were looking to give ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’ maestra Madonna a little more just their love as reports are surfacing the single’s parent album ‘MDNA’ has skyrocketed to #1 in 49 countries!  Just hours after getting fans familiar with the ‘Luvin’ visual, the diva is dominating Itunes charts globally.

Less than 12 hours from its Itunes pre-order release, the set (not due until March 26th) is finding itself atop Itunes listings in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and France just to name a few .

If this is any indication of what is to come, the ‘Take a Bow’ beauty is assuredly readying a takeover of Billboard charts in late March.  Until then, fans can expect to see her takeover their tubes for this Sunday’s Superbowl.

The true Queen Of Pop. She keeps on slaying effortlessly.

  3. CURLY SUE February 3, 2012

DONT MOST POP WOMEN WHO MAKE A “COMEBACK” AUTOMATICALLY JUMP TO #1? LETS SEE IF SHE KEEPS UP THE MOMENTUM…

  4. globaltrackchart February 3, 2012

The Queen of Pop is Back!!! Beyonce, Adele, Gaga, Britney, Ke$ha, Katy, Xtina will all be slayed in the charts!!! Better watch out. MDNA will stop Adele on #1 in Album charts domestic and globally.

  5. delroy February 3, 2012

Not all of them have great comeback and you need to remember that unlike most artists out at the moment she can sell tickets and get the no1s without doing much promo that is why they call her the queen of pop.

  6. LMAO February 3, 2012

I always loved Madonna she is such a great singer & entertainer. I can’t wait to see her perform at the Superbowl. I know it will not be enough time but hay. I notice they did not ask Rihanna. Well this is prime time TV and with Rihanna always playing in her p**** I know they wasn’t having that.

  7. riri February 3, 2012

    Wow

    Amazing

    Congrats madonna 🙂

  8. Anne February 3, 2012

@CURLY SUR! I agree with Delroy. A lot of the so called comeback attempts by some artists fall flat. People have moved on and lost interest in some cases. This is a huge accomplishment by the Queen of Pop. Good for her!

  9. Anne February 3, 2012

@GILBERTO It wont be added to official itunes countdowns until the release date but if you have an account it should appear in the top spot based on presales if this post is accurate. I have not personally checked but I dont see why TGJ would make this up.

  10. Mafalo February 3, 2012

Heh. Looks like hate only motivates.
Still kicking ass and taking names.
Madonna is not only the Queen of Pop, but also Queen of the Planet.

  11. THE GREAT LACEFRONCE. February 3, 2012

    Lets be honest

TRANNYdonna is washed up. Itunes means NOTHING

FLOPonces 4closure went #1 on iTunes in 20+ countries HOWEVER, it still managed to FLOP 🙂

  12. ADC143 February 3, 2012

Any bored, lonely, ugly (can’t forget UGLY) internet troll who would actually claim that going to #1 in 49 countries means nothing has a bigger screw loose than I originally suspected. LOL

This is so fake! LOL http://www.apple.com/euro/itunes/charts/top10albums.html
Madonna’s fans are deseperate. Her album isn’t even on the top10 let alone on the #1 spot. FLOP. Bye

Give Me All Your Luvin’ is soooo f***** AMAZING!

  15. Anne February 3, 2012

@Lacefronce you just summed up why neither album is a flop. Bey’s 4 went on to sell a million copies in the US in less than 6 months and double platinum worldwide and is still selling with the help of 3 current singles on the r&b charts (Party, Countdown, and Love on Top). I think Madonna’s album will also sell well.

  16. juxmithoucgts February 3, 2012

Not a big Madonna fan….Ive loved some of her hits from the past.
Confessions Of A Dance floor and Hard Candy stayed on heavy rotation for me

But this s*** right here…….this song sounds like a throw away powerfuff girl track…
Nicki and Mia aren’t needed it may become a hit but I still hate it

  17. NYAFACE February 3, 2012

Madonna should sit down… Is she still talking about this 8 years later? She is CLEARLY trying to catch attention.. Dissing Lady Gaga? (what has she ever done to anybody)… Dissing Janet Jackson ( probably upset because Janet beat her to it… nobody wanna see those saggy old Madonna tits now- Eww! go away).

She looks like Gollum from Lord of the Rings.. with a wig on.. Still trying to get “the ring” from the.. lets say…. “younger” artists in The Shire and doesn’t realize the her power is in her silence…

Why can’t she just be classy, humble and appreciative for what she has? (like Janet)
or convey feeling through her art and music ? Instead she’s been on every talk show in the past 3 days, taking jabs at Janet Jackson… who’s minding her business and ain’t bothering anyone.-

Oh- by the way.. her song is garbage.. regardless of how much it sells.

Madonna- a nuisance who puts out s***** music. I can’t wait for Monday so she can be gone already.

  18. ADC143 February 3, 2012

NYAFACE: you are an idiot. Nothing you babbled about in that poorly written post of yours even relates to the subject. This isn’t about Gaga, Janet or even the Superbowl. It was about how Madonna’s album is #1 in 49 different countries. Heh. That’s some “nuisance.” Those 10s of millions of people who anxiously await her new music so much that they pre-ordered her album feel really burdened by her presence. 😆 Dumbass.

You want her to sit down because you know for as long as she stands up, she wins…and that makes you feel inferior, most likely because you’re a fan of someone who you wish was as successful as she is (but isn’t.)

  19. NYAFACE February 4, 2012

    Hey ADC143-
You wanna name call? You sound like a crazed, lunatic for Madonna, when she don’t a F*** about you.. get over it. Everyone doesn’t love her…

Also, if you CAN read.. . Read this in your fanaticism…

being numbers #1 doesn’t mean that aren’t an asshole.

you should know – There’s a 1 in your screen name.. I guess you all stick together..

and here’s an “on topic” response for you and Gollum:
and MADONNA SUCKS ASS and CAN”T SING and is a DISGRACEFUL B****! Do me a favor- Tell her to sit down while you’re up in her ass… you and exaggerated/inflated number of 10 and millions of folks waiting to buy her lame ass auto-tuned/ middle C bound records.. and That song SUCKS ASS- could’ve been make by Willow Smith in 5 minutes….

  20. ADC143 February 4, 2012

LOL! You are still an idiot NYAFACE. Your posts in this thread were completely off topic, you’re beyond pressed…and that remedial English “rebuttal” of yours only proved that when you probably flunked rolling clay in Kindergarten. Seriously, were you born stupid or did someone drop you on your head? Speaking of numbers, I’ll take #1. You be #2, since you are already so full of s***.

Anyway enough about you and your gene deficiency…

The fact of the matter is is that Madonna has LONG proven that she is here to stay — whether you like it or not — and you can’t make her “sit down.” Who cares if you don’t like her or her music? Who told you you were important? LOL! You’re a nobody, a nothing. Your opinion is no more valuable than the dirt lodged in your ass crack.

Don’t hate Madonna because you think she can’t sing, or because you think her song sucks. That’s too easy. Hate her because years from now she will STILL be here…will STILL be commanding media attention…will STILL be making music…will STILL have millions of fans…will STILL be the icon she’s pretty much always been…will STILL be more successful than you and your favorite…and, like today, there won’t be a damn thing you can do about it! 😀 😉 😆

  21. Chris February 4, 2012

Does anyone kinda find it disturbing that a 53-year old woman (old enough to be someone’s grandmother) is singing bubble-gum POP. I mean, come on – it’s VERY strange. I grew up listening to Madonna and loved her then and was so excited to hear some new music from her. Very disappointed that she choose to sing bubble-gum music. I would have thought that her music would be a little bit more “mature” by now. Oh well, think I’m going to pass on this.

And to all the above posters, being #1 in iTunes right now doesn’t mean anything. Actually, late January and February are historically the slowest selling months of the year (since all albums are bought around the holiday season) and since there are not any new albums out right now, it’s very easy to get the #1 spot with only selling, say 100 albums. Let’s say Adele sold 10 albums today and Madonna sold 12 – so Madonna would grab the #1 spot. Simple as ABC, 123 isn’t it. Just saying.

    But Janet Who ?! 😆

anyway … on more relevant news :

The Queen Of POP do what she does best , slaying effortlessly !!

but hope the material is Up to my expectation.

  23. Theman February 4, 2012

As far as albums go itunes isn’t that big a deal. Of course it’ll be #1 because of all of the hype. Madonna does have a huge global following.

  24. MicroPop February 4, 2012

TGJ HQ is really nervous this time around.

  25. NOPE February 4, 2012

Madonna fans love to say ‘Janet who?’ while focusing on Janet like their saggy old Jigsaw looking idol. Rather transparent wouldn’t you say?

  26. Bey is legend February 4, 2012

Its itunes for God’s sakes its an official. This post is just for atention just like the one of nicki minaj getting a no1 on billboard when she actually hasnt done that yet. I do still want this album to do well though, just cause it will be released on my birthday ha ☺

  27. Globaltrackchart February 4, 2012

Congratulations Madonna!!! Number one all the way!!! Still looking pretty and s*** after all these years!!! Love ur single GAYL. Cute and catchy.

  28. Flashing Green February 4, 2012

Beyonce sold 1 Million copies and was the best selling R&B album of the year
Mary J. Blige sold half of it in 2 months and her sales do nothing but increase !!!!!!!!

  29. Flashing Green February 4, 2012

    WITH NO HITS !!!

  30. YOOSONDALOOSE February 4, 2012

WOWOW! Madonna is owning, go Nicki and MIA as well.

  31. Man-TAK-eee February 4, 2012

DONT PLAY THE HYPE! SHE WILL GET #1 BB 200 THEN TANK THE FOLLOWING WEEKS LIKE HER LAST ALBUM. FROM THE SINGLE TRACK LOOKS TO BE SOME OUTDATED 80’S S*** WITH PRO-TOOLS MIXED IN. SMFH.

  32. Mr.Geezy February 4, 2012

Even though I haven’t been a fan of Madge music in ages I very huge congratulations are in order that goes to show us all a loyal fan base will always be in support of you as long as they are satisified. Props to Madonna for still making major moves decades later.

  33. Those That Cannot Do, Stan February 4, 2012

Congrats to her, she’s earned (and re-earned her legacy) 🙂

  34. Jay February 4, 2012

I love how people think sales matter for Madonna at this point. The women has had a 30 year career. She’s had massive success and massive flops but doesn’t change the fact she’s the biggest female icon in music. Nobody even comes close to her legacy. Hell she could have retired after Ray of Light and still been the biggest icon of all time. MJ didn’t do much of anything for the last 15 years of his life and his status didn’t change. I love how people try to shade Madonna and say GaGa has taken over…they never say Justin, or Usher took over for Michael? Madonna has nothing to worry about, even if she never has another number 1 song she’ll always be the one and only Queen.

  35. Lucky star February 4, 2012

So sad this site is joins the Lady Gaga’s project—-This site is a fanbase of Beyonce and a few others, not a blog about Music.

We are proud that the hot music site That Grape Juice has joined our cause. Sam, one of the main music writers, is a very big Lady Gaga fan and hates Madonna (or at least hates what she has become).

Please give this website a lot of support and email them with any anti-Madonna information you have.

  36. JohnVidal February 4, 2012

Hmm… so it seems people really like crap! I´m sure if she would have come with a great and mature song, the retarded itunes generation wouldn´t have fall for it. So sad. Still, coming from Madonna it is obvious her first week numbers are going to be good and the album will debut #1 in the USA for sure (it´s March) but after that i don´t think it will last (not that she needs more success, just saying)

  37. Mary The Flop February 4, 2012

    MDNA #1 in 53 countries now !!!!!!!!!

  38. pambudi February 4, 2012

Well, with all my respects, the achievements of each artist were truly personal for them. Shall not be compared one to each other as it would not fair enough.
I grew up with the influence of Madonna, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and I just enjoyed all of their works, if now you’re influenced by Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Rihanna or else just enjoy their works. No need to say that your favorite artist is better or greater than others.

Why don’t we just enjoy their work without hating each other.
If you do not like an artist then keep it personally as well as the more you hate it just shows how much you pay attention to him/ her.

So Peace everybody. Let the music entertain us not break us apart.. 🙂

  39. Lax February 4, 2012

@PAMBUDI,,,,I SO AGREE WITH YOU, THANKS.

  40. Lax February 4, 2012

Funny how many are always trying to talk others down
if you do not support or like their music then find the
one you like and stick to them like glue and leave
others that you don’t fancy the heck along. It is sad
how many often time just wear themselves out griping
about what they like and do not like about a artist. What
would the world be like if all we had was Jazz or church
music? What would the world be like if we only had only
country western and country music? Aks yourselves that
question and see if you head can get with the program
and stop trying to train people to like what yo ass like and dislikes.
Everytning under the sun is going to change, nothing is going to stay
the same and many who are calling madonna Old just keep living just
keep breathing and before long you had better hope and pray that your
life will last to get to 53 and will you have did all that she has done in her
life time. You all had better get your own houses in order instead of worrying about which pop mega star is on top andwho’s selling the most. It will be great
to see mag on top again and if she do not sell as much as he is hoping for she has still did it all. The Janet and madonna mess is over and done with and i do
not see these Iconic mega global artist beefing over some b/s that happened a life time ago. While Janet is great in herself then so is madonna. And another thing NOT A SINGLE ARTIST WITH THEIR ASSES POINTING TO THE GROUND CAN TAKE ANOTHER’S PLACE, NEVER. oNE ARTIST MIGHT BE BIGGER AND BETTER THAN THE OTHER, SALE MORE THAN THE OTHER ARTIST BUT NO ONE WILL EVER TAKE ANOTHER’S PLACE PERHAPS IN YOUR HEAD , BECAUSE IT SURE IN THE HELL WANT BE IN REAL LIFE, DUMB ASSES.

  41. Saetana February 5, 2012

This being No 1 on iTunes means nothing, iTunes is a rough indicator (and I do mean rough) of singles chart position but it usually is nothing like the real album chart, you know there are still a lot of us who would rather buy a CD when it comes to albums than a poxy download. DLs are great for single tracks but you can’t beat a CD for albums, its not like new albums are any cheaper to download either, I didn’t pay anymore for the two albums I bought last year on CD than I would have done to download them ;o)

  42. Al February 5, 2012

No one buys cds but old farts. Get real.

  43. Saetana February 5, 2012

That’s curious because I’m a member of several Gaga fan sites and most of the people on there are much younger than me but almost all of them bought the CD. I rip the CD once then put it away, it saves me having to back up most of my music collection onto disks or USB drives, there is also the fact of getting a nice booklet with lyrics and lovely photographs. Considering downloads are no cheaper than CDs, its a real no-brainer for me ;o)

  44. Gagaism February 5, 2012

If she was a queen the record will be more, Gaga do it before!
