New Song: Madonna – ‘I Don’t Give A (Feat. Nicki Minaj)’

Published: Tuesday 20th Mar 2012 by TGJ Team

As if ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’ wasn’t bad enough, Madonna and Nicki Minaj have teamed up yet again to beat the dead horse that is: juvenile dance-pop music.

Madonna’s lame attempts at rapping are worse than watching someone’s middle-aged mother try to dip it low and pick it up slow at the local block party. It’s embarrassing for everyone involved and totally unnecessary.

The nonsensical nature of the lyrics and half hearted vocal given by the alleged ‘Queen of Pop’ contrast against ‘I Don’t Give A”s stellar production jarringly so. It’s obviously the song’s focal point was production and autotune…how dare we assume vocals and intriguing lyrics would be the draw.

Madonna was right by naming her album ‘MDNA’ as a [incorrect] play on the mind altering street drug of the same name. One would have to be bogged out of their mind to deem these tracks quality pop music worthy of a woman well into her fourth decade of global pop dominance. The reductive album is set to be released on March 23, 2012 by Interscope Records. Senior discounts unavailable.

    I love it

  6. JohnVidal (RIPWhitney-true great) March 20, 2012

    Well, yeah it´s not great. I expect more from her than the material she made for this album. Only truly like 2 or 3 songs. But STILL it is better than nowadays b****** she is trying to compete with. Just this album, this very little part of Madonna´s career is better than any Katy perry, Rihanna, etc attempt to make music.
    Legends always win, no matter if their names are Madonna, or Mariah, Whitney, Celine or the best females music makers of the last decade in mainstream music… Alicia, Adele, Gaga. They will always win over generic and untalented crap

  7. KAT DELUNA FAN March 20, 2012

    Reductive piece of s*** ➡

  8. POP ROYALTY ( RUDE BOY) March 20, 2012

  9. Lolo March 20, 2012

    Ewww, it sucks. I wish MJ would have lived to put out another album. I know I would like it more than this…

  10. POP ROYALTY ( RUDE BOY) March 20, 2012

    @johnVidal :

    Rihanna’s Tracks in ” TTT” >>> this song above.

    U know i love her to death , BUT this song is a failure , like a flopped reworked version of ” american life” with some M***** featured in it called ” Sicki fakaj”. it will only benefit Onika !!! 😡

    The wack Janet/Beyonce DL fan boys that run this site need to STFU. Quit hating on Madonna and Rihanna bc your favs fail. Not her best but this isn’t a f****** single. Did you dissect the s*** stain track for track that was Beyonce’s 4? No . Madonna has some great songs on this album

  12. f*** madonna March 20, 2012

    @amy

    we dissect track for track and 4 wins by a landslide…

    MDNA is SHITTER THAN HANNAH MONTANA ALBUMS…

    MADINOSAUR HAS LOST HER OLD ASS IMAGE AND SOUND SO SHE BORROWED MILEY’S, HANNAH’S, AND EVERY LITTLE DISNEY B**** TO TRY TO APPEAL TO THE YOUNGER CROWD… LOOKS LIKE THIS WILL BE ANOTHER THAT WONT SELL A MILLION IN THE US… HA!!!! FLOP!!!!

  13. K-POFF March 20, 2012

    I always just sit back and let these horrible “writers” try and critique every artist on here. Even when they trash talk every TALENTED celebrity and put LIL KIM, of ALL “artists,” on a pedestal. LMAO! It’s one thing to have an opinion, but when you are supposed to be a “professional” and blogging for other people to read, you should learn how to do so properly, first.

    “Madonna was right by naming her album ‘MDNA’ as a [incorrect] play on the mind altering street drug of the same name.”

    ACTUALLY, MDNA stands for MaDoNnA, whilst the street drug of the alleged “same name,” as you claim, is spelled “MDMA.”

    If you want to have a credible blog and site, try not being SO F*CKING BIASED ON EVERY DAMN POST! Learn to be subjective “writers!” It’s part of your [unpaid/sad] job!

  14. jeremydante March 20, 2012

    liked nicki’s verse a lot; wish she was doing that kinda s*** on her own records.

  15. geees March 20, 2012

  16. VFB March 20, 2012

    A HOT DAMN MESS

  17. Bey fan March 20, 2012

    Ummmm…i dont like it. And I honestly haven’t liked any song from the album so far….

    Maybe you have to be a die hard fan to appreciate it…. I just assumed with all the shade she has thrown, she would have came harder.

  18. Os March 20, 2012

    i like it.

  19. Nicki Team March 20, 2012

    I like it, tooo

  20. Hahahhahahahaaha March 20, 2012

    Mariah Carey will pout…of course.

  21. HALF AMAZIN March 20, 2012

    This is not supposed to be mind blowing lyrical content, its pop. It’s catchy and I like it. I don’t understand why Nicki sounds better on THIS song than her own. I mean, really Nicki?

  22. Kg March 20, 2012

    The album leaked already and Expected to Sell FAR less than Born This Way. So don’t make this a competition between Gaga & Madonna, because Gaga will Win by default. This generation just feels her more. Not to mention The Born This Way Ball already sold over 12 million in Asia alone. Lol.

  23. JohnVidal (RIPWhitney-true great) March 20, 2012

    Wow I´m defending Madonna more than her own fans 🙂

  24. JohnVidal (RIPWhitney-true great) March 20, 2012

    @poproyalty
    Sorry, Rihanna songs are trash, just like Katy Perry or Britney ones. Well the songs they make for them 🙂
    Madonna´s are not very good this time but “masterpiece” alone is better than the whole TTT album

  25. Onyx March 20, 2012

    As a fan of Madonna i’m used to it to the critics, no matter what kind of album she does she will always judge coz people hate on her is what it is, i remember when she came out with Ray of Life everybody said is a weird album, American Life is aboring album, Confessions is a dance album and now they al want those albums back, i enjoy her Music, no one can’t change my mind, i do enjoy every move and direction that she make in her career, like Nicki Minaj said in this song There’s only One Queen and that’s MADONNA.

  26. DJ TAJ March 20, 2012

    You’re cray!!! This song is AWESOME!!! And Madonna isn’t trying to rap, she’s singing in monotone. I say invest in some q-tips and clean your ears out!!!

  27. Onyx March 20, 2012

    Sorry for the typos

  28. Onyx March 20, 2012

    This album is crap, The same they say for Beyonce’s 4, Rihanna’s Talk That Talk and Gaga’s Born This Way, LMAO TGJ and some people here when Madonna announce the first single they all say the album was s*** when we don’t have even heard any some from the album, what can’t you expect from a site or people who was screaming flop when not even the tracklist for the record was made it.

    She’s always supposed to be “over,” but somehow she never is. And I abhor the ageism and sexism so resonant in criticism of her.

  29. TheMusicProphet March 20, 2012

    You know something …. I’m actually digging it. I mean it’s a little too young for her I think, and i’ll admit not one of these MDNA tracks are groundbreaking …. but they’re still a blast to listen to and dance to, and I think it’s hilarious how on this tour Madonna will outperform every other b**** in the game.

  30. N**** PLEASE March 20, 2012

    This is such a piece of CRAP !! like what the heck ?
    Time for Madonna to retire and do what people her age should do and not tryna act 20 years younger . poor soul , Nicki Minaj owned it and made this song !!
    lady gaga over madonna any day mofo’s.

    xchurx

  31. DareToDeal March 20, 2012

    TRASH!!! MADONNA NEEDS TO HAVE SEVERAL SEATS WITH THIS MESS. NO WONDER HER FIRST SINGLE HAS ALREADY FLOPPED!

  32. POP ROYALTY ( RUDE BOY) March 20, 2012

    @JOhnvidal :

    U do stan for her harder than me. the thing is , CRAP = CRAP !

    and i still LOVE madonna , U KNOW IT !! and i know i’m gonna buy this album just because it is Madonna’s , but is it really up to my expectations , NO ! and i don’t want to be disappointed with the whole project that early. i will give it a second shot.

    The second part of the album ” from track 9/i’m a sinner to Track 16/Best friend” is COOL , not Good or Great , but TOLERABLE. NOT the type of quality i will expect from a madonna album. as simple as this.

    and Rihanna TTT ” or any album by her for that matter except for RR” won’t have the quality of Madonna albums.

    But even Rihanna herself is excieted for the MDNA era , so …… I’m XD too. for the tour and the concert i’m gonna attend 🙂

  33. tbozfan10 March 20, 2012

    It’s so obvious this is just a post by a lil’ monster or whatever who is just mad because he realizes that gaga and Janet will not go down in music history as being the Queen. Sure they’re queens in their own rights, while Madonna is THE Queen. You’re probably mad because you realize that gaga’s second album, while a huge success, is still not even close to being as big Madonna’s sophomore album, 3rd album & 4th album! You can see that although Gaga may have a decent run, she will fade out one day. She won’t have the continued success of Madonna who still shows b*tches how it’s done. She has seen em’ come & go. Everybody and their sister over the past 30 years who got alot of buzz was said to be on their way to taking her crown: from Cyndi Lauper to JLO to Britney (who is still quite successful btw) to lady gaga, but Madonna is still blowing them away when it comes time for people to spend their hard-earned money and go see an artist put on a show.

    The reason I know you’re just mad as because you refer to her as the “alleged Queen of Pop.” But then you prop up names like Janet & Gaga as being the supposed “Queen of Pop” when gaga is clearly not even within striking distance. And as for Janet, I love her. But if you check her career, which was truly extraordinary, she’s in a lane with Britney Spears if you want to try and compare her with somebody. This isn’t shade. It’s just facts.

  34. nomam March 20, 2012

    When it comes to the first week sales of this album do not underestimate what Madonna will do in the first week. Keep in mind that the album has been on pre-order for like 2 months already.

    AND

    Every concert ticket sold for her new tour…which is thousands or millions of tickets sold in the US comes with a copy of her new album. Therefore if all of he tickets sold to date are counted an album sale then she is looking at close to 1mil, or over 1mil first week.

  35. JohnVidal (RIPWhitney-true great) March 20, 2012

    @poproyalty
    Yeah I already said yesterday the second part of the album is better
    And no, YOU stan for her harder than me 🙂

  36. MadBrax March 20, 2012

    @Nomam
    Ever since Prince was the first and the last artist to try the trick of giving an album away with every ticket for it to count towards record sales all albums given away with a concert ticket does NOT count towards album sales. Billboard changed the rules when Prince did this. So in reality Madonna is giving away her album for FREE in the United States. This is prolly because she knows that in the US she doesn’t sell well anymore and makes her money in the US with concert tickets. But she sells extremely well all over the rest of the world which is why she is not giving her album away for free elsewhere.

    Say what you may about the songs on this album, but this album is getting MASSIVE RAVE reviews from all over the world including the US. It’s her most critically acclaimed album of the last decade. Like it or not, it’s still a killer album.
