Much like every week since January 2011, this one has given Adele much to smile about.
For, after watching her latest LP go 9X Platinum last week, this week has seen the LP top the UK Album’s Chart, for the 24th time.
Details below…
Snatching the top spot away from Nicki Minaj‘s ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded‘ (#3), ‘21′ has now matched a record held by Bob Dylan, for spending the same number of weeks at #1.
In at #4 is Lana Del Rey with ‘Born To Die’, and closing up with the Top 5 is Jessie J’s debut effort ‘Who You Are’, enjoying a sales boost as a result of ‘The Voice UK‘, in which she stars in alongside Will.I.Am and Tom Jones.
At #6 is Emeli Sande‘s ‘Our Version Of Events‘ while Madonna’s ‘MDNA’ holds court at #13 for a second week. Rihanna‘s ‘Talk That Talk’ resides at #28 while her 2010 effort ‘Loud’ is #48, dropping two spots since last week and 51 one places above Beyonce‘s award winning ‘4′.
On a singles front, major congratulations go to our friend Conor Maynard. His new single ‘Can’t Say No’ debuted at #2, following his set on That Grape Juice’s ‘The Splash’.
