King B has arrived…
on Twitter, that is.
Having amassed a whopping 3.5 million followers on the social media platform without a single “tweet”, Beyonce today broke her “e-silence” much to the delight of her swarm of fans.

As she gears up for the release of “an exciting project” (all shall be reveled soon), the 30 year old made her first tweet moments ago saying:
And while, for some, the Twitter announcement of a new site (which looks great, we must add) is somewhat uneventful, please believe that it will almost certainly will serve as a prelude to bigger announcements in the weeks ahead.
As one who’s long been an admirer of the Old School Hollywood the Beyonces and GaGas of today embody (see: we’ll only show you the “us” we want you to see and let the music do the talking), it’s clear this is a smart strategic move. For, if there’s one thing that popped off in the gap between ‘I Am…Sasha Fierce’ and ‘4’, it’s the hyper-explosion of Twitter, which in turn has almost made it compulsory for artists to be personable and reachable for their fans. Something, “Brand Beyonce” has sometimes been critiqued for. The irony is that it’s unlikely she’d have this air of grandeur or “diva” if there wasn’t the “distance” she and her team so tactfully established. Still, she’s at the point where she’s so big, that joining such a platform is unlikely to hurt her in the slightest. After all, I can’t see Bey acting ratchet or arguing about who can “book a stage”. No, no.
