Cheryl Cole is back and keen to illuminate the charts.
After a lengthy spell of silence following her X Factor USA sacking, Cole has today announced the title and release date of her third studio outing.

According to the Girls Aloud star’s official site, the follow-up to 2010’s ‘Messy Little Raindrops’ is titled…
‘A Million Lights’
Due on June 18th, the set is preceded by the Calvin Harris produced ‘Call My Name’ – which is set to premiere on radio this Friday (and iTunes on June 10th).

Despite her severe lack of vocal prowess, one can’t but be at least somewhat excited to see how this plays out. For, in serving as her first release without the X Factor “scaffolding”, industry 101 would typically see the label punch with the 2-single approach. However, it’s clear they are putting all their money (quite literally) on ‘Call My Name’ to “sell” the album. A gutsy move and one which will many itching to see if it’ll pay off or fall flat like her attempts at a high note.

Cheryl has a great deal of support in and outside the industy. With the long list of talented producers this project sounds like it will be a winner. …let’s remember that she actually DID win a talent contest and was selected over thousands of other talented people….like her or not the woman is very talented and seems to be humble and great to her fans.

Yes I have seen her perform live…to say she is below average vocally is obsurd…average? maybe. but why hate? The fact is she IS talented and has sold millions of cds (NOT including what she has done with Girls Aloud). Not to hate but when I think of below average I think Heidi Montage,,,Paris Hilton…NOT someone like Cheryl Cole who actually won a singing competition.
