After much speculation, it has today been announced that Pop diva Jennifer Lopez is to embark on her first-ever headlining arena tour. And she’s taking another Latin star on the road with her!

According to Ryan Seacrest, the American Idol judge will be hitting the road in the Summer with special guest Enrique Iglesias for the first leg of the world jaunt. Naturally, the US is up first. Peep the first batch of dates below…

As one of the world’s premier entertainers, it’s great to see Ms. Lopez finally capitalisng on her strongest assest – her ability as a performer.
It’s a strength she’ll also flexing next Thursday on Idol, when she serves up the first televised performance of new single ‘Dance Again’.

OK let’s be serious, there are not enough J Lo fans out there to be filling arenas. I think Miss Lopez needs to take a seat, and judging by this news there will be PLENTY of seats for her to choose from – with ALL those empties she has ahead of her.
Don’t get me wrong, I like J Lo. But for such a hard working woman it bugs me that her music is so… lazy.
I would love to watch a s** tape of her and Enrique though. This is the only potentially good thing that could come from this tour.

I think she can probably fill up an arena people may not buy her cds but I think they will show up to see her do what she does best which is dance! I might go, but then again I am not an Enrique fan.
Hmmmm If i was her i would have stuck to 5000 and 10000 seats. I hope she does not embrass her brand if these tickets don’t sell. Obviousley there must have been a reason why it took her 13 years to do a TOUR! Maybe the finally made a computer that can help her sound good live! Good luck J.Lo
She’s already sold out huge arena’s when she toured with Marc and she was pregnant! Get your facts straight! The only reason she hasn’t toured before is because she decided to take movie roles instead.
This is NOT JLo’s tour…. she and Enrique will co headline just like CIara and Jay Z co headlined a tour but Ciara was really the opening act….
Enrique is the only one that is an arena artist…. not Jlo…. check wikipedia….. this is an extension of Enrique’s ongoing summer tour… Jlo is opening for him

I’m sure if Jennifer wanted a worldwide tour she easily could have done one after her ‘J.o’ album was released in 2001, but she chose to take on movie roles instead, which in return prob earned her just as much money if not more back in that day. Now, you have to tour to make money from music…. then albums were still selling decently.
So is it odd this is her first world wide tour… YES. But after you remember how busy she was during her hey-day/peak… She had the number 1 ALBUM and MOVIE in the U.S. at the same time! Even your fave’s cannot conquer that feat. She also had what I believe was the first ever REMIX album to hit #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart… Only since followed by Biebs. SO don’t downgrade her feats as if she was sitting on her ass when she could have been touring.
