Merely moments ago, the R&B hitmaker unveiled new single ‘Lazy Love’, the lead release from his comeback set ‘R.E.D’ LP – which is now confirmed to hit stores on September 18th.

With ‘Lazy’, Ne-Yo re-engages with the formula which rendered him such a formidable force upon his chart arrival and the immediate window following. Indeed, here we see an R&B base, garnished with lush melodies and harmonies, and “accessible”, yet qualitative lyrics.
It’s a recipe that not only sets Shaffer aside from the likes of Trey Songz (who seems to be on a one-man crusade to propagate the notion that R&B today must sound like funeral music); it -most importantly- is a recipe that works.
