Today marks the global release of Usher‘s seventh studio album ‘Looking For Myself’.
A mixed medley of genres, the hotly anticipated set has seen the star re-embrace his R&B roots, while “discovering” a flavoursome brand of Dance which sets him apart from the generic-soaked Electro-Pop that’s on its way out. Audio-underlining of this comes in the form of chart-smashes ‘Climax’ and ‘Scream’, as well as stellar album cuts such as ‘Euphoria’ and ‘Numb’.
Put simply, we’re in love with the record.
Yet, ever keen to hear what YOU – the That Grape Juice faithful – are saying. We want to know…
Will you be buying Usher’s ‘Looking For Myself’?
If so, why? If not, why? Sound off below!

YES!!!. Every single so far has been really good & because he’s USHER!!!!!
I wish Usher the very best with this project and I’m sure it will at least go GOLD. But I’m going to have pass on buying. It’s just too poppy for me. He will never have another classic album like “Confessions”
I agree with @Ernest and I’ll pass on this CD also. Don’t get me wrong I really like Usher.
SAd thing is no one will buy the album really but I have it on my iTunes; playing it now on drive to work & it’s good! I wil go buy a cd just to support my boy.., but u know black people don’t pay for nuffin hahaha.,
this !! i did the same as well 😀
bought it on itunes this morning. aside from the 3 or 4 dance songs, the album is solid!
sure 🙂
hmm not feelin his new album !!!!!!!!!!!
No. I wish all the best but the economy got me too down and I’m holding my money. Evil listen to his singles on radio.
YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!

definetly buying it!!!!!!!
but i can do without numb, euphoria, or scream. im just danced out already, but im glad he kept it versatile with it though.
top tracks IMO
1. 2nd round
2. looking 4 myself
3. twisted
4. I care for u
5. sins of my father
6. IFU
7. say the words
Before the group of elitists lonely r&b exclusive folks come in, this article is made to bait them, it’s not Usher going back to his roots, its more Usher’s first time experimenting with new sounds.
I love the album, definitely his best since Confessions, and might be just as good or better. Love all the tracks, no filler imo, something that wasn’t the case with Confessions.
And let the hate commence with all the “USHER SOLD OUT!!!” BS. It’s sad how people refuse to give things a chance and listen to the damn thing and let it sink in… Alas, some people just love to be stuck in that little box of theirs.
Oh and just so people know… It’s not the black crowd exclusively that go out and buy his albums…. Same with his concerts…. FYI.
I am definitely going to buy this album! I love everything I have heard from it so far except for “Scream”…that song is generic pop noncense like everything else out right now.
Collectively a great album. You get a bit of everything; pop, rock, r&b and a whole lot of s***! Needless to say I’ve already purchased my copy.
Usher has fallen off. Besides, I don’t check for sellouts. So nope. When he serves up another Confessions or 8701, then I’ll put him back on my radar…until then…nope.
I wasn’t going to buy it but I’m happy I purchased the deluxe edition from iTunes. I only dislike the song Scream.
For those who harp about it not being rnb you don’t understand who Usher is. He is an artist who has always gone on par with the trend. 2004 and previous, black artists and Rnb dominated Billboard. And in such it was easy to state black artists were “rnb.” But in today’s world, it’s not the case anymore so our “Rnb” stars who wish to remain relevant are adapting. That’s what Usher does and he’s done it well with this album.
No, it doesn’t sound like Confessions and its not supposed to. In 2004, lil jon was huge – that’s why Usher recruited him for Yeah. In 2001, Neptunes were huge, that’s why Usher recruited them on the 8701 album. In 1998, Jermaine Dupri was huge, that’s why he was on My Way. And in 94 (or was it 95) bad boy was huge, that’s why Puffy was on Ushers debut.
Think about that and consider which producers and sound dominates the charts now.
No i ll buy Chris Brown fortune
i bought it….luvin it…his vocals are underrated
I will be buying the album as soon as I get off of work.
Lord Jeezus, I didn’t even know that he had an album coming out this week …
I have purchased the album and evento though i have not listened to every sing yet…this album is EPIC!!!!….My favorite track is the strong near heavy Euphoria
lol look at the stealth troll disliking every positive response towards the album. How sad, get a life.
I hope he can get over 300k in the US for the 1st week…
OMG was my ish and way before it ever took off but I’m not feeling any of the dance tracks this go around. However everything else is tight. IFU is my favorite. So yeah, I will pick up a copy…at some point LoL.
It’s dull
