As one of Pop’s more powerful players, Epic exec LA Reid knows a thing or two about star spotting.
Birthing the careers of P!nk, Ciara, Rihanna and TLC to name a few, his work in the industry recently landed him a judging position on FOX’s X Factor USA, alongside Simon Cowell.
Now, one month after ‘Toxic’ beaut Britney Spears joined that panel, Reid has weighed in on her chances of winning the show if she was on the other side of the judging table.

When asked if how Spears would fare on the show as a contestant, he told TMZ:
If I was a judge … she would have won
If Reid was talking about Britney pre 2007 then yes- we agree the general public would be wowed by her skills onstage. However, if he’s talking about ‘barely there/don’t really care’ Britney, then erm- not so much.
You see, as much the quality of Britney’s sound has remained consistent, she has not and is currently ‘living off’ the work she put in five or six years ago and not what she’s putting in today.
