R&B star Ne-Yo follows-up yesterday’s debut of his ‘Lazy Love’ video with a racier edit for the grown folk today.
Already taking off at Urban radio, the steamy cut is now paired with an oven-hot clip, as the hitmaker sets sail on the promotional push for his ‘R.E.D’ LP (due September 18th).

While this was bordering on softcore porn at points, from a “business standpoint” it’s quite clear what Shaffer is doing with this. It was fairly obvious on his last outing, ‘Libra Scale’, that a change was needed musically and image-wise. Hence it obvious he’s re-branding as a “pin-up” of sorts to re-engage both his female and core Urban audience. Something, when viewed this way, we’re “OK” with – especially given that, unlike the Trey Songz’s of the world, Ne-Yo still makes tasteful and varied music.
