im gonna wait for the full song cause this didn’t do anything for me.

  2. THE TRUTH? August 1, 2012

I love it, if you don’t feel it the listen to it over again! its great! and Meek Mills verse is great too. my only concern at this point is I’m not sure ppl want to hear ‘encouraging’ lyrics on the radio in the summer!

    • credits August 2, 2012

By the time the song picks up steam, summer will already be over.

  3. 4EVERSHITTINGONYOU AKA KNUCK August 1, 2012

It sounds like a great song, but her vocals are reeaallyy thin.. I think the quality of the snippet is bad, but umm.. maybe she recorded this BEFORE the twins? Because in her live showing after that she was serving vocals..

yeah I’ll wait for the hq before goin further..

    • credits August 2, 2012

I was going to say she sounded weak which is ironic because she is suppose to be triumphant at this point but “thin vocals” is a better way to describe it.

  4. MC August 1, 2012

It sounds Urban and promising! However, I don’t think it will be a chart-topper because its not a dance-techno song….I guess only time will tell…..
I cannot wait for the song to be released 🙂

  5. Honestly Speaking August 1, 2012

I’m going to try and reserve judgement until I hear the final product but this is not it. Since when is Mariah Carey just an Urban artist looking to get a hit on the R&B chart? this song has zero crossover appeal and her voice sounds paper thin. She better be happy AI came along and scooped her up when they did because if this is really THE comeback single, it’s going to need all the promo it can get and people probably still won’t respond well to it. I’m hoping that there is either a lot more to the song than the snippet allowed us to hear or that her label is going with a double release of some sort and that this is just for urban radio. Either way I would love to see a Mariah comeback if she can still bring it and isn’t going to give me Keyshia Cole b-sides with a dash of Katy Perry circa 2009.

    • Just Wondering August 2, 2012

You said you will be reserving judgement but you gave a long comment. How ironic! 🙂

      • lordmir August 2, 2012

        co-sign

      • Honestly Speaking August 2, 2012

I gave my opinion…is that not what you do on blogs with a comment section? if you like the song then fine. Don’t attack me because I stated my opinion. I didn’t bash the woman and if she comes out with amazing material then I will be the first to say so. If y’all want to kiss her ass and act like everything she does is iconic then you can go do that. I’m being real with what I thought of the snippet. Goodbye.

    • #TEAMKEYSH August 2, 2012

What does Keyshia have to do with this…..? im confused…

    • ThéLourson August 2, 2012

      Thanks for your not-judgement.
You might not know Mariah Carey, remember in 2005 when people like you were saying It’s Like That is not a comeback single…

      • Honestly Speaking August 2, 2012

People like me? I didn’t even know that any of these blogs existed back in 2005 so your point is a little invalid. I gave my opinion and I happen to be a supporter of the old Mariah that made enjoyable music, her last good album being the Emancipation of Mimi. I gave my opinion and I did not bash her but I’m not going to sit here and kiss her ass like a delusional fan if I don’t like the material that I’m hearing. Deal with it.

  6. Bey Fan August 1, 2012

Sounds like something I can groove to. I’ll wait for the full version

  7. aishaaguilerakeys August 1, 2012

It doesn’t sound bad, but that WAS short, I need the full version.

  8. christinastherealtalent August 1, 2012

Anytime an artist says “pay attention to the lyrics” that’s a red flag. Mariah did say she wrote this when she was going through a hard time but whatever that was Mariah get over it and release something more upbeat and introspective. I wouldnt mind a present say Make it Happen. That’s what I mean by upbeat and introspective. I loved Mariah back during her peak because she got down with her music but the past 10 years her music has been all about heartbreak. I want old Mariah back that sang about “oh when you walk by every night talking sweet and looking fine”…

    • number1k9 August 1, 2012

      YES YES YES!

Exactly. 90s Mariah was everything to and for Pop radio. Her lyrics which she wrote back then were mature yet fitting for both young and old audiences.

A modern day “Make It Happen,” which was practically a gospel oriented R&B song is exactly what I would have rathered instead of this (from the snippet).

      Great points!

    • Tee August 2, 2012

Her last two albums have been poor, with the odd couple odd decent tunes thrown in amongst the rubbish. I think Mariah has been putting out music to try and follow the crowd rather than set the standard as she used to. I wasnt bowled over by this short snippet, but i will hope that the whole tune wins me over.

  9. Biting Truth August 1, 2012

I’m not a fan of hers, but at least it ain’t dance/pop. Points for that, if nothing else.

  10. L21480 August 1, 2012

I have to laugh at those of you who are acting all surprised that it ain’t gay…I mean “techno”…enough. Did you really expect a song that features Rick Ross and Meek Mill to be a poppy dance song? If you weren’t expecting this, then you really are clueless.

    • Benron (I sold Bey Her Fake Bump) August 2, 2012

      its horrible tho.

  11. Nichole August 1, 2012

Not messin with the snippets cus they don’t do songs any justice.

The full track should be droppin tonight, therefore, I’ll wait for that.

Mariah’s last couple of albums underperformed, and I’m concerned because she has to really bring it this time. If the song is garbage as well as the video, then she might as well kiss this era an early goodbye cus nobody wants that kind of stuff from Mariah.

She should go back to basics, and make another Butterfly quality type album.

    • RoyalKev August 2, 2012

      Preach!!!

Butterfly was a masterpiece. I think that could be my favorite Mariah album ever (other than EOM, of course). I’ve been waiting for Mariah to go back to that, but with something that sounds current.

      http://www.thepagewithroyalkev.com

  12. EnRanc August 1, 2012

Sounds like a E=MC2 leftover. She’s gonna need Idol for this.

  13. LuvWhitney August 1, 2012

Im sorry Mariah is to old for this. 20plus years in the game & she producin shhhhh like this? #disappointed

  14. Legendtina August 1, 2012

I need to here the full version. Thank god its not a dance track

    • chad August 2, 2012

lol well then you will not be happy with christinas song seeing as its a club banger

    • lordmir August 2, 2012

      I was afraid too lol.

  15. Indigo Suns August 1, 2012

I can appreciate that Mariah isn’t coming out with something fished out of Katy Perry’s toilet, but it is still to her detriment that she never changes or evolves. This sounds like it could fit on every album she’s done over the past 10 years. And that single cover is way too typical of her. She’s horribly predictable. Every song…every video…every promotional photo you can see coming from five miles away. When was the last time she did something noticeably different from her last outing? Move forward, stop rehashing.

    • christinastherealtalent August 2, 2012

Exactly. Same poses, same outfits, recycled songs = typical Mariah

      • Truth August 2, 2012

        +1

    • aishaaguilerakeys August 2, 2012

Then when she changes, y’all complain.

    • LOL August 2, 2012

      Totally agree
If she wasn’t so predictable and lazy she could’ve had the impact of a Mary J. Blige a Whitney Houston or a Madonna as far as influencing the kids of today.

      • JohnVidal(RIP Whitney-truegreat) August 2, 2012

What??????? Mary J Blige more influence than Mariah Carey WHERE??????????????? Where the hell do u live?

    • RoyalKev August 2, 2012

Every word Indigo Suns wrote is the honest truth. I thik that’s why I love listening to Mariah more than I do watching her perform or seeing a video/promo pics. I don’t need for her to dance or anything, but the way that she chooses to recycle makes her style less engaging.

      @Lol

You still can’t deny her overall influence, but I know exactly what you mean.

      http://www.thepagewithroyalkev.com

    • ThéLourson August 2, 2012

How do you want her to recycle? Should she wear a red wig? A meat dress would look fabolous on her, don’t you think? Better yet, let’s teach her some dance routines that she could do over and over again while wearing a leotard!

      • RoyalKev August 2, 2012

        Meat dreaa – no
Dance Routines – Oh, God no!
Leotard – That’s definitely not for Mariah.

Mariah’s just a bit too conservative at times. That Triumpant single cover looks similar to her TEOM album cover, which bears a resemblance to even her E=MC2 (with that same pose – right hand over the head, left on the hip).

Videos: Mariah is always in an open field

        – Without You
        – Dreamlover
        – Butterfly (abandoned house , field at the end)
        – I don’t Wanna Cry (abandoned house , field at the end)
        – Always Be My Baby

        OR, near the waters
        – Love Takes Time
        – My All
        – Don’t Forget About Us
        – Always Be My Baby

There’s many more, but her videos are all one big blur (except for the more distinctive ones). Video making may not be her strong suit, but she should give more of an effort to deliver something different from her past ideas.

        http://www.thepagewithroyalkev.com

    • Ny August 2, 2012

Personally I think she kept with the classic look for her single cover, i think shes taking it back to her standard image

  16. I SLAY FOR REAL WOMEN WITH NO PLASTIC PARTS!!! August 1, 2012

IT WONT MAKE IT IN THE TOP 20’S SORRY!! Maybe r&b charts

  17. I Pity Mariah’s Music……..it’s terrible August 1, 2012

Have to hear full before I

  18. christinastherealtalent August 2, 2012

Ok we can officially rule out Melanie Amaro (as talented as she is) having a hit song this month, Mariah still has 1 more chance to redeem herself since the full song doesn’t come till tomorrow, but if that doesn’t cut it, Christina should enjoy all the attention 😉

    • Back2Business August 2, 2012

haha! You are so funny 🙂

  19. danny b August 2, 2012

i kind of already have reservations about it. But I won’t disclose them till the full song is posted. Just to be fair.

  20. HauteHottness August 2, 2012

Mimi. You KNOW you’re my girl, but I’ma need you to take two steps to the left, and one step back from this hot ghetto foolery, now I love you on a smooth R&B track, but I’ma need you to put the blunt down, and get with some producers who can do your voice some justice. . . enough is enough. . . matter of fact please call Christina Aguilera, and Kelly Clarkson while you’re at it. . . . get together and find some new producers who can do you guys justice as singers. . . . this foolery must stop.

    • mobwife August 2, 2012

Yeah, her vocals are good on this track but the addition of the those others just turne me off completely!

  21. RADEN RATNA KESUMA JOE-YO August 2, 2012

This song created attention around the globe even with the snippets! it only 30sec snippets people!!!! don’t judge wait for the full song!! ooopst i forgot that there a HATERS everywhere in here and i don’t be surprise if they LOVE the song after listening the full song!
Mariah Carey will always give us a HIT after HIT! and She Slayyyyyyyyy it
Mariah 19 #1??? I’m sure the hater will keep on counting on the HIT!

    • Candid August 2, 2012

Blind stan. You’re in for a real disappointment.

      • RADEN RATNA KESUMA JOE-YO August 2, 2012

Pleaseee!!! u r the one who r disappointment!!!

  22. Jayla August 2, 2012

    YES MARIAH!

  23. facekick August 2, 2012

I love me some Mariah but this isn’t gonna do it for me. I need you to reinvent urself girl. Not the same emancipated mimi.

  24. Shymir06 August 2, 2012

Mariah’s fans are only kidding themselves if they think this will be a #1 single. Her name, Rick Ross’s name and the publicity she’ll gets from Idol will probably allow it to barely touch the lower half of the top 10, but a #1 is a long shot. I’m predicting that this song won’t even do as well as “Obsessed.”

  25. Mariah4Life August 2, 2012

The song is hot. Love the snippet! I don’t care where it peaks at on the charts, I’m just glad Mariah’s back and doing what she does. Thank God she didn’t come back with some generic aerobics class dance song tailor made for no-talents like RIhanna to “sing”. I would rather her flop with a song I like then hit with something I hate.

    • Benron (I sold Bey Her Fake Bump) August 2, 2012

What the f***, Rihanna could sing better than this goat sturggling with her falsetto.

      • I SLAY FOR REAL WOMEN WITH NO PLASTIC PARTS!!! August 2, 2012

I STAN FOR RIHA NA BUT MIMI WILL OUTSING CIRCLES AROUND RIHANNA!!

      • MC August 2, 2012

“Rihanna could sing” lol have a seat stupid h** _/

      • Back2Business August 2, 2012

Lmfao! Rihanna can sing better than Whitney too can’t she @Benron? haha the Navi is delusional!

    • Benron (I sold Bey Her Fake Bump) August 2, 2012

I definitely only mean for this song, we all know Mariah could do thing Rihanna wouldn’t dare DREAM about… eve nthough her voice is better than Mariahs…..

      • MC August 2, 2012

Rihanna’s voice is barely there! You looks so stupid for comparing her to Mariah! They don’t even go in the same sentence you idiot. Even Britney Spears sings better than Rihanna and her voice is barely there. shm you are really stupid

  26. Todd August 2, 2012

    Lets go Mimi! Great!

  27. Triumphant August 2, 2012

TRIUMPHANT SMELLING LIKE A HIT!!! MARIAH WILL SLAY IT & HATERS CAN EAT YOUR S***!!!!!!

  28. Mike August 2, 2012

When are people going to realize that you NEVER EVER underestimate Mariah Carey? This chick has already shown the doubters and naysayers COUNTLESS times that you can’t keep her down, and she’s about to do it again. And you can’t judge a song that is over 4 minutes long based on a 30-second snippet lmaoooo. I have to laugh at just the thought of that lol. Pure idiocy.

Her people have managed to build up such a hype for her comeback that regards if it’s good or not people are going to jump on it. And I’m so happy she didn’t just take the easy route and get some RedOne dance beat like everyone else is doing; people need/crave music with substance these days. I have a great feeling about it so far.

  29. RASHAAN August 2, 2012

I normally RESERVE the negativity to myself if I don’t have anything nice to say BUT I hate the WHISPERY MARIAH!!!!! You are gonna be a JUDGE on AI and this is not showing them how it is done and that is all I will say reserving full comment for the premiere of the full song!!!!!!!

  30. JohnVidal(RIP Whitney-truegreat) August 2, 2012

It sounds great and also not like a commercial success cos we are living in a generic dance era, so what? haha What I´ve heard I like it. Her voice sounds good (she´s never gonna give you simple vocals, she´s long past that, she likes a little overproduction like Gaga for example)
Also, all the haters pressed on this post… nobody saying how bad this sounds or whatever… only “this won´t make it to #1” haha why are u so mad? Suddenly u care about Mariah´s chart performance? Wasn´t it about the music?
We have to wait, the lyrics I love them

  31. J August 2, 2012

Meems, you know I love you, but this can’t be the leading single…I will repeat what others are saying,”will wait for full song”,but this is WAY too slow for a summer single/buzz single/what have you. “Obsessed” didn’t make you want to dance, but it was “make you bounce a bit” worthy and not to mention sinister with its beat. I know you weren’t going to follow the crowd with a techno-beat dance jam,but cut us a break, we need “Fantasy” and “Honey” vibes this year,PLEASE!

    • Al August 2, 2012

right, and when was the last time that Mariah’s released a song with Fantasy’s vibe? Please, the haters will just then go on to call her out for being outdated.
Just wait until the full song premieres and enjoy the good music won’t you.

  32. i’m not throwing shade, but… August 2, 2012

It sounds too typical Mariah with added hot rapper of the moment.

  33. Queen Navy August 2, 2012

    Yawn-worthy.

  34. Chica August 2, 2012

    I like it!

Its fresh and not what i expected.

It sounds more the butterfly/ Rainbow era esqe which is a good thing.

  35. JDE97 August 2, 2012

Hasn’t Mariah done this song once, twice…or fifty times already? She’s repetitive as hell.

  36. www.hitahit.wordpress.com August 2, 2012

Sounds like 90s!!! Its something different between dance and tecno hits. Today listen the full version! Great mariah! Make it #1 all lambs

  37. dee August 2, 2012

Another attempt for a #1 song by seeking help from rappers.

    • ThéLourson August 2, 2012

Oh please… Mariah seeking help from rappers!
Do I have to remind you she didnt need anyone for her 18 #1s?

  38. ASAP (As Sincere As Possible) August 2, 2012

This sounds great! I expected ‘Obsessed’ 2.0, bur thankfully I was wrong. This track sounds really promising and not generic at all! I didn’t expect to like it. I just wish she had enlisted some decent rappers. Meek Mill is not that bad, but Rick Ross will ruin the song, I can feel it. Is it too late to replace him with Nas?

  39. S****** Blonde August 2, 2012

I wait until the full version it’s released but let me say this, some people here are so ignorants, there is good dance music and there is bad dance music (like what we have today on the radio) but that doesn’t mean that there is not bad R&B, all kind of music has its good and bad side, i’m a big Rock fan so it’s not that i am defending dance music but this song sounds like same generic R&B she has been making for the past two last records, the fact that Rick Ross is on the track proves that, i could care less about charts position and we all know she’s still the Queen of Billboard charts but her voice don’t even sound the same anymore.

    • DA TRUTH TELLA B****** August 2, 2012

I agree with the Madonna stan. Not ALL dance music sounds like the Guetta/RedOne fuckery you hear on top 20 radio. E-D-U-C-A-T-E yourself, biatches!

  40. MsThing485 August 2, 2012

Claiming that someone is a “hater” because they aren’t impressed by a song is what a pressed “stan” (whose skin is so thin that their souls can’t tolerate it when someone doesn’t worship at the mantle of their idol) does. I’ll be honest, the only reason I’m not going in on Mariah for this otherwise lackluster song is because…hey, at least it’s R&B. The world of music desperately needs a high profile song that isn’t dance or alternative/hipster pop. So if she can score a hit with this, more power to her. I actually hope she does, just for the principal involved.

If we weren’t living in the world of “Call Me Maybe,” “Part of Me” and “We Are Young,” however, I would be blasting this ish to hell and back.

  41. JER August 2, 2012

i’m hoping it won’t perform like “Bye Bye”

  42. the real xoxo August 2, 2012

I like it 🙂 nice urban summer song.

  43. SENTFROMUPABOVE August 2, 2012

    this sounds awesome 🙂

  44. monstarebel August 2, 2012

I hate snippets just give me the full thing so it can SLAY MY SOUL ALREADY!!!

  45. HOTSTUFF August 2, 2012

it sounds like a future flop 🙁 …..she doesn’t have to do Dance music to fit in today’s music market but she can definitely do something upbeat like ‘fantasy, always be my baby, dreamlover’ …..

  46. That B*tch August 2, 2012

Half of y’all are saying Mariah needs to take it back to her 90’s sound. The other half of you are saying she’s too predictable and needs to try something new. Y’all can’t make up your minds for nothing. Anyways I was really feeling that snippet. This song is good from what I can tell.
    Mariah, you betta slaaayyy!!!!!

    • MC August 2, 2012

I know! I am so confused because half the people here are saying she “recycles” too much and is too “predictable” and the other half are saying she need to go back to the 1990s. Believe me if she did an up-beat song she would have been unoriginal and following the trend and when she does a song like this it is still unoriginal and lacking….shm

  47. hashigou August 2, 2012

Seeing as I hardly comment 🙂
    Mariah baby? You ok?
These last two albums haven’t been the business.
    I can’t really go in because it’s a snippet.
From what I hear though. 🙁
I’m not one to worship artist based on yester year talents and achievements.
I Stan for no one but this if this was a preview for any other artist you all would have a field day. Had Beyonce,Rihanna ,Gaga etc release this ….
The vocals are a MESS,production is dated and terrible.
I’m not a hater…if it sounded great id be excited.
    Oh well …maybe next single

  48. Slick August 2, 2012

Crickets… I Do NOT like her vocals…Oh GOD please don’t let this be Horrid.

  49. Tee August 2, 2012

Why are people going on like she has been gone for years and years, her last album was out in 2009 or 2010, most artists take a couple years out between albums! But gotta say the snippet didnt really get me going, but snippets are sometimes like that, you then hear the whole song and it sounds good, so i will await the full release later totday.

  50. RoyalKev August 2, 2012

I honestly don’t have a feeling about this one yet. It sounds like the tail end of the song. So far it doesn’t seem to be heading in the direction I’d preferred for Mariah, but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad effort altogether. I’ll wait for the entire song to be released. I usually only need a good 20 second snippet, but this one is a bit odd to listen to.

    http://www.thepagewithroyalkev.com

  51. D.Scott August 2, 2012

Yea, going to have to wait to hear the entire track

  52. ThatGrapefruitJuice August 2, 2012

Since the track is currently unavailable Im going to have to reserve judgement.

  53. mobwife August 2, 2012

    humm……………….

Some of the songs have a classic Mariah feel and others just aren’t very exciting at all! She has a new gig on AI so the CD & it’s singles will be pushed regardless of their quality, pretty much like JHO. She’s playing her cards very well! 🙂

  54. credits August 2, 2012

She hasn’t been hot since she announced her ’emancipation’ and told us it was ‘like that’. She did what was best for and had to ‘shake shake shake them haters off’.

But really, why when everyone comes out with an album, it’s a ‘comeback’ she just released her last album like 2 years ago or something? She has nothing to prove, she is a legend.

  55. JJkiko August 2, 2012

The funny thing is, if Rihanna come up with something like this
people will say she is amazing for taking back the R&B roots with great lyrics and it might become an Anthem for younger generation and might be on number 1 for I don’t know how many weeks…. But because is mariah people are a lil bi jugdamental, same happened with We belong together and what? song of the decade? remember Only mariah have the number one song of the decade Two times in a road, your faves.. never..

    • Benron (I sold Bey Her Fake Bump) August 2, 2012

When you do certain things, people expect things from you.

If Rih sounded like this, it would be shocking, but hearing MooRiah Curry singing this is just hillarious.

  56. Tpeac August 2, 2012

What some people don’t understand is that this single is not for a number one this single is going to do what it’s like that did, just a hot urban song that will chart and then she will release a we belong together type song.

    • ThéLourson August 2, 2012

      Finally someone with sense!!!

  57. I SLAY FOR REAL WOMEN WITH NO PLASTIC PARTS!!! August 2, 2012

WELL ATLEAST MIMI DIDNT FAKE A PREGANCY!!

  58. Libra August 2, 2012

I’ll need to hear the full song. The snippet didn’t do anything for me. I’m not a Meek Mill’s fan but I thought his part was better than her’s. Her vocals sound too processed, double,, triple, quadruple layered.

SHE SOUNDS HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORIBLE. I AM LITTERALY DYING THAT MOOOOOOOOOOOOORIAH CURRY’S FANS ARE COMING AT THE “NO TALENT” RIHANNA WHEN RIHANNA COULD SING THIS SONG 100X BETTER WITH MORE POWER, FELIBILITY AND EVEN SOUND COMFORTABLE, 3 THINGS THAT EMINEM’S H** COULD NEVA DO!

OMG I NEVER THOUGHT THE DAY WOULD COME WHEN BRITNEY F****** SPEARS SOUNDS BETTER THAN MUR-DERED-BY-EMINEM-IN-A-SONG-RIAH. KUNTY PURRY COULD SING THIS BETTER, EVEN F****** CASSIE COULD SING THIS BETTER.

      • Benron (I sold Bey Her Fake Bump) August 2, 2012

That waas 9 and a half years ago, she wast professional then. AND IT STILL SLAYS MOORIAH!

      • MC August 2, 2012

    • Cassie August 2, 2012

@ Benron (I sold Bey Her Fake Bump), Omg you are so delusional that it’s actually kind of sad:/

I love Mariah, but I don’t know about this snippet tbh…

I’m not going to say anything too much because I haven’t heard the full song, but so far I don’t see this song going anywhere… I don’t feel summer teas from this song and I can’t see it as being a Billboard Hot 100. Maybe as a R&B/HipHop hit, but I don’t think it will be a commercial success…

Hmm… But if I come to not like the song when it fully comes out, then Mariah has plenty of time to put singles out. I feel like this is only the beginning of this new ERA because when she is on American Idol, it will boost her promotion for her album/singles more…

A R&B song disguised as an outdated generic Mess with 2 ppl who talk fast ” not real rappers”. and she LOST her voice !!!!!!!! it took me 5 minutes to believe it is MC and not whispery Janet who’s singing. i would have been even pleased if she did something like ” get your number” for example , but this one above ?!!!!! and the full version is in youtube already !!!!!!!!!!!!!! BAAAD

this is a MESS and probably won’t even chart. why she didn’t go for a unique direction with her voice like adele did ?!!!! SAD , tragedy and just WRONG.

Since “Touch my Body” , she’s not there for me , she became a parody of her old self …… so bad i liked her old music , she’s ruining it 🙁

      @pop
be serious for once. The hot weather in Egypt might be getting to you
You stan for Rihanna and Britney Spears. Enough said. When Mariah, Beyonce (who I don´t like like u all know), Alicia Keys, Xtina and the rest may have their next hit I don´t want you to jump on their side again. it´s seriously being too much lately. No sense at all
I repeat: the ones you defend the most are RIHANNA and BRITNEY SPEARS

      • MC August 2, 2012

co-signed! Mariah can do whatever she wants to do in terms of her music etc, but this snippet gave exactly what I was expecting from her, which was a non dance-techo song. I know people can state their opinions and can like whoever they want, but to stan for someone like Rihanna and Britney Spears and complain about Mariah doing songs like “Touch My Body” etc is just beyond me!

      • Pop Royalty ( F*** Yo Fav) August 2, 2012

Excuse me , but i’m sure you were there when i dragged the hell out of them when they did bad. i don’t kiss ass , if my fav did something that i don’t feel , i’m gonna say it !! i like MC , any basic music lover will love this woman cuz she mad great songs ” mostly in the past” and yada yada yada , but is this is what she became now ?!!

        as a fan ” not a stan” , i don’t feel her.
and when an icon like “MC” reason to the same way “britney” do her stuffs , i don’t think putting BS down will change anything !! at least BS was commercial and generic since day one and stayed like this all the way , the same goes to Rihanna ” minus RR” !!! so at least they stayed true to themselves “generic” , but when it comes from MC , celine , etc .. , man u know it is bad !!

and yes , it is hot in here , i almost wear nothing 8)

the only one who got my all respect at the moment is ADELE !! and u know y ! and not just cuz she’s the most successful female out there , but because she stayed real and did it big while she is only that , which remind me of the ” mariah carey , emotions , music box” version of MC , when she was real and true to herself !!

      • Pop Royalty ( F*** Yo Fav) August 2, 2012

and why U act as if dance music is all that bad ?!! there is great Dance music which will spit on every R&B boring ass song out there ……………….

how u stan for MC and u hate “versatility” ?!!

dance music is a genre !! dance music is like Disco days back in the day !!

      • MC August 2, 2012

@Pop Royalty ( F*** Yo Fav) MC has been in the business for 22 years! She has done it all and has nothing to prove. Some people on this site expect her to get a hit with every song and s*** like that. She is human and sometimes she has her not-so-great moments, but some of you just really go in on her. Even with this song half the people on this site are saying she is so repettive and need to renew herself and when she does songs like “Obsessed” you guys are saying she follows the trend too much… shm she can never win with you guys

      • MC August 2, 2012

@Pop Royalty ( F*** Yo Fav) Dance music is great i agree. Everyone wants to dance and feel good to a good dance music, but as of late that is all the artists seem to be making and it gets tiresome. I don’t know about you, but for me I like listening to meaningful songs that are though provoking and inspiring…

      • JohnVidal(RIP Whitney-truegreat) August 2, 2012

        @MC
Wow I totally agree with u on everything

      • JohnVidal(RIP Whitney-truegreat) August 2, 2012

        @pop
You can´t say this song is bad cos it´s not. You can say it won´t go #1, or u want another thing from Mariah or whatever, but this snippet doesn´t sound bad. You can´t say Usher is the king and that u love songs like “Lemme see” (and I like it too) and then say how bad this Mariah song sounds cos they are so alike from the snippet (well apart from the fact Mariah will always sound fabulous and the lyrics are way better than Lemme see for obvious reasons 🙂 )
And yeah dance music is great, like every other genre, the thing is lately it is just the same s*** again and again and all the “singles artists” do it now in the most generic way one can imagine just to try and have a fast hit. At least Mariah or Alicia Keys have not done that from what we´ve heard on their first singles
Did u see JLo debuted at #20 on Bilboard 200 this week with 16,000 copies sold??? Have a nice night @pop 🙂

  62. stewie August 2, 2012

The pap shots of the photoshoo prove that they photoshopped the H*LL out of her … she is much heavier than that pic would suggest.

She is much too old to keep doing this hip-hop lite songs w/ guest rappers.

  63. Back2Business August 2, 2012

You people don’t understand the music industry! This single will make it into the top 40 simply because it’s Mariah’s first single in a long time and it’s anticipated. Then it will make it into the top 20 because it relates to the Olympics and for that reason it will be boosted and promoted and people will buy it off itunes.

But isn’t it crazy how EVERY r&b girl that’s “coming back” has had a rapper on their single.( Keyshia Cole; Lil Wayne), (Mariah: Meek Mills & Rozay), (Alicia Keys: 50 Cent), (Kelly Rowland: Lil Wayne), (Brandy: Chris Brown). Only Tamia came out without a rapper and her single isn’t doing so well.
