Hot Shots: Brandy Toasts To Top 10 Success Of “Put It Down”

Published: Sunday 9th Sep 2012 by Rashad

‘Talk About Our Love’ singer Brandy was definitely the talk of the night Friday when she and her closest compadres gathered to celebrate the recent success of her Chris Brown-assisted single ‘Put It Down’.

Toasting to the splash the single has made on charts just weeks after its release, the song’s producer Sean Garrett joined Niecy Nash, Ray J, and more to help Bran ring in the occasion.  See more snaps below:

‘Down’, the first single lifted from the singer’s forthcoming album ‘Two Eleven’ (October 16th), is set to crack Billboard’s R&B/Hip Hop Top 10 upon its refreshing next week.  Here’s hoping for its continued success!

        No!
I know a CShitwa fan isnt coming for Brandy when that man looking lady boy hasnt even put out the first single for her album even though that s*** is out in november.

At least Brandy has a song out thats charting. Cshitwas last album sold 37,000 first week, THREE TIMES less than Keri Flopsons first week sales for ‘In A Birdlike World’ and you b****** really wanna drag?!

Be gone with your Windows 95 using ass!

  3. OZ September 9, 2012

Ok then……since when do people celebrate going top 10. Sounds a little desperate to me ! Loving Wildest Dream !

    • vocalbible September 10, 2012

Dummmy its called being appreciative to what life has got to offer despite how small people thinks they are. 🙁

    • mobwife September 10, 2012

You are kidding right? Brandy is not a media darlin’ like Justin Bieber or Lady Gaga. She partnered with Chris Brown (yet another non-media darlin’) and rose to the Top Ten without the fake media accolades constantly swarming and lying about how special, flawless, and perfect she is! She simply produced a great record and has done well after a 4 year hiatus. Have a seat –> __/

  6. Izzy September 9, 2012

Congrats! her team need to get it together! Her singles could chart higher if as soon as they are released its sent to radio & iTunes not these two week gaps and also not waiting a year to release the videos could help also!

    • vocalbible September 10, 2012

I know but I think they know what theyre doing so lets give them a chance and see what happens. 🙂

    • mobwife September 10, 2012

You have to remember that it’s the controlled, biased record label/industry that is dictating when an artist can release their CDs. They pushed her CD back for a third time and she had to space her promotional campaign accordingly. When the single dropped she was on one schedule but with the push back the video was delayed. Ppl blame artists and PR Teams but its the POWERS THST BE who control the music industry that’s in control of it all!

    • bitchpleaseeeeeeeeeee September 10, 2012

JUST KEEP SUP[PORTING AND FORGET ABOUT HER TEAM FOR NOW >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  7. ENOUGH ONIKA September 9, 2012

Well that goes to show you Brandy takes no accomplishment lightly and always finds something to celebrate about, that’s a formula for a happy and peaceful life. Good for her! Even though I still don’t care too much for PID, R&B music is barely making the top 50 these days so it something to celebrate about.

    • vocalbible September 10, 2012

      🙂 🙂 🙂

    • bitchpleaseeeeeeeeeee September 10, 2012

BRANDY IS BEING A TRUE HUMAN THAT APPRECIATE THE LITTLE THEY’VE GOT THATS ALL WHICH I THINK ITS A GOOD MOVE FOR HER.

    • bitchpleaseeeeeeeeeee September 10, 2012

MONICA IS FINE AND SO IS BRANDY, SWEETIE 🙂

  10. Haute Hottie September 9, 2012

Celebrating mediocrity I see. . . I fuxx with Brandy and I have for a while, BUT by now she should be celebrating Billboard top 10 success, any Black artist makes it to the top 10 on the R&B charts in the United States unless they REALLY suck, but if Nicki Minaj’s non singing ass can get a top 10 hit with Super Bass, then Brandy can get a top 10 hit.

    • Howard all Day!!! September 9, 2012

She ain’t the only one then….. Ha try the rest of the star popplets… But make no mistake this is a hit…itz Just a totally different era….. Hehe!

      • Howard is the Bizz!!! September 9, 2012

And as for Nikki the mental….is just that…so most continue to tune her WACK RUMP 0ut!!….hehe!

    • vocalbible September 10, 2012

      cosign to this>>>>>.

    • mobwife September 10, 2012

      You sound CRAZY!

Brandy sings R&B music! Why should she wait to celebrate her return to the music industry after a 4 year break? And why should her celebration depend on POP CHART success considering she’s a R&B ARTISTS? 0_O

Lets not be brainwashed into thinking something isn’t worthy or good unless “OTHER FOLKS” say its good, great, or worthy of praise!

  11. nnnnn September 9, 2012

    what success exactly???

    • Criss September 10, 2012

      Her 1st Top 10 hit since 2001.

      • mobwife September 10, 2012

        Thank you!

        last 10 was in 2001, it’s now 2012 = > GREAT JOB B Rocka & Breezy

    • vocalbible September 10, 2012

      Do your researc darlyn. 🙂

    • vocalbible September 10, 2012

We all happy for our girl> 🙂

  12. dee September 9, 2012

The R&B charts isn’t relevant. When she enters the top 10 on the pop charts makes the song a crossover hit.

    • vocalbible September 10, 2012

This is the only begning of more successes to come so stay tune…………. 🙂

    • mobwife September 10, 2012

Wow Blacks Folks love their music too especially when its not hurriedly produced, artificially promoted, and shoved down our throats! Have a damn seat __/

  13. RICHNBLACK11(BEYONCE KEEP EM MAD) September 9, 2012

    Work out Brandy…Congrats babe

    • vocalbible September 10, 2012

    • vocalbible September 10, 2012

      Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy 🙂

  15. Chachanana12 September 9, 2012

A song don’t need to crossover to b successful everyone knows 4 the last 2 years. All billboard 100 number 1 songs r pop

    • vocalbible September 10, 2012

      Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂

  16. Monstarebel September 9, 2012

IT TOOK 4 MONTHS TO GET TO TOP 10 <<< GUR BYE !!!!!
SINCE WHEN DID WE CELEBRATE FLOPS?

    • vocalbible September 10, 2012

      Since now, b****!!!!!!

  17. Jay Jay September 9, 2012

But the song So far charted #90 on the billboard 100. Not trying to be rude but there is nothing to celebrate. If they would have released the video in the early summer and performed it on the awards the song would have done so well. I’m rooting for Brandy but I’m a little worried. I just want the album to do well.

    • vocalbible September 10, 2012

Dont be cuz Brandy is doing just fine. 🙂

  18. Criss September 9, 2012

Congrats. The song is still rising…

    • vocalbible September 10, 2012

      yes!

  19. Criss September 9, 2012

It must also be noted that this is Brandy’s best performing song on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Charts since What Abous Us in 2001. So yes, after 11yrs, having another Top 10 hit for Bran is a good accomplishment and the song hasnt peaked yet.

    • vocalbible September 10, 2012

      ??????

    • mobwife September 10, 2012

      well said..

  20. Sweetnothings78 September 10, 2012

    • vocalbible September 10, 2012

      🙂 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  22. Shymir06 September 10, 2012

I’m sorry, what? She’s celebrating a top 10 R&B hit? Really?! This is the same girl who once had a #1 single on the Hot 100 for 13 weeks, and now she’s been reduced to celebrating a top 10 R&B hit? Not to be a killjoy, but this is sad. At the VERY LEAST they should wait to see if the song hits #1 on the R&B charts before declaring this some kind of victory. This is like a former honor roll student celebrating a C-.

Her team has set the bar a little too low when it comes to what a success is. If I were Brandy, I would be firing some people and replacing then with real movers and shakers who could pull enough strings to get the song into the Hot 100 top 20.

    • vocalbible September 10, 2012

Its called being appreciative to what life has to offer and bigger things shall follow otherwise you’ll remain in sad sad old life alone.

  23. mobwife September 10, 2012

  26. Tay September 10, 2012

Congratz Bran I didnt think the video being so delayed on release would help it chart but it did. Cant wait for album

  27. tanya moore September 10, 2012

    i luv me some brandy……CONGRATS

  28. Kevin September 11, 2012

Good for Brandy!!! I’m proud of her !!! And to the idiot that said Monica is crying WHY?? Watching her tweets performing for the prince and sultan of Brunei today is hardly a reason to cry!! Brandy had two albums that flopped . Monicas comeback was Still Standing. doesn’t matter true talent NEVER dies.. I do not understand why people think you have to hate on one to uplift the other. It’s dumb and childish. Especially when the two of them are cool. Grow up!!! Congrats BRocka
