Despite releasing ‘Talk That Talk’ in November of last year, Camp Rihanna ready the launch of her seventh studio album this year, ahead of her 2013 world tour.
Now, Nicki Minaj producer Pop Wansel have generated fresh steam for its lead single via Twitter yesterday, billing it… ‘classic’.

Upon hearing the cut at a listening party, he shared:

Though this even has us a little excited, Wansel’s comments didn’t really say much in the grand scheme of things.
For, as ‘We Found Love’, ‘SOS’, ‘Only Girl In The World‘ and ‘Drunk On Love‘ proves, Rihanna has never had a problem recording and releasing ‘up market’ Pop. Her problem, we’d say, is delivering those numbers on a live performance tip.
So, here’s hoping her performances of ‘Diamonds’ are just as classic as the cut itself.
This, all too important if she is to compete against Aguilera, Minaj and the like… all of whom launch new campaigns in the coming months. Both of whom, are renown for first week numbers Fenty is still yet to enjoy.
