John Legend, Fantasia Among 2012 Soul Train Awards Performers

Published: Friday 2nd Nov 2012 by Rashad

Two of the last decade’s most prized R&B vocalists are set to take center stage at this year’s Soul Train Awards showing.

Indeed, ‘Save Room’ crooner John Legend and ‘Bittersweet’ beauty Fantasia are just a couple of the names lining the bill at the Las Vegas-hosted event on November 8th

The announcement is also accompanied by news that R&B legend Charlie Wilson will hit the stage as ‘Pretty Girl Rock’ performer Keri Hilson rocks the title of announcer alongside Jody Watley and the show’s main host – Cedric the Entertainer.

With more performers set to be announced in the coming days, the 2012 edition of the historic awards show will see hit 80s boyband New Edition receive the lifetime achievement award and tribute.  And, though taped on November 8th, fans won’t get to see the showing until it is unveiled on BET and daughter channel Centric on November 25th at 9pm ET/PT.

If you missed the show’s nominees, see them here.

A flop awards show that only flop artists go to.

B****, please! Soul Train is legendary. It opened doors for many R&B, hip-hop, soul, funk, disco and gospel black artists. It had a huge influence on many generations. You don’t know this because you’re b**** that know nothing about music, you just see what’s currently hot on the charts and think it’s an expert.

Beyonce would never attend a flop awards show.

      • Bob November 3, 2012

Shut the f*** up, Bey attended in the past.

        Yo mom would b****

No they don’t need Byeonce. She is not as exciting as you think she is. I find her quite calculated, typical and boring. Fantasia is a much better NATURAL performer and a million times better of a vocalist. Fantasia also has better material than Beyonce so I’ll take the line-up of gifted singers over the overhyped rubbish “singers” of today.

The state of music *sigh*….now the talented and better singers perform on lesser known award shows while the untalented gimmicks get the grammys,AMA’s & VMA’s…..It will be so sad that the Soul Train Awards ends up being more interesting than the Grammys the past 3yrs..

Lol, Keri Hilson? Didn’t she fall off years ago …

    Rihanna must have said no.

Rih ain’t got soul, rnb, and she puts on a horrible show!!! I rather watch paint dry then see her on a stage. She need to stick to her n*** pics, Chris Brown, and dropping meanless cd’s every year to continue being recognize. I give her career another three years and it will be all over for her. Everyday she should be thanking Chris Brown for keeping her interesting these last past years because I swear that incident made her famous.

      Yes I said it
