As the release of Alicia Keys‘ new album ‘Girl On Fire’ creeps nearer, the soul-filled songbird nested on the MTV European Music Awards 2012 stage in Frankfurt tonight. There, Keys performed the LP’s title track and ‘A New Day’.
Flanked by a myriad of male dancers, the performance marked an interesting change for the piano-friendly singer.

Yes, she’s not a stage blazer of Beyonce proportions, nor is the chorus of ‘Girl On Fire’ any easier to listen to live. That said, she’s clearly striving to serve up something fresh – and for that she deserves kudos.
‘Girl On Fire’, the album, arrives on November 26th in the UK and a day later in the US.

<3<3<3 this performance. The men in the background are so much better to look at than the girls. Well at least to me. Alicia is looking great and sounding great. Absolutely nothing not to like about this performance. Btw, whoever states she needs water, maybe she does but her voice still sounds amazing exactly the way it is. "New Day" really sounds great live.
