Justin Bieber Manager Slams 2013 Grammy Nominations

Published: Thursday 6th Dec 2012 by David

Perhaps by way of careful managerial moves, Justin Bieber‘s transition from Teen Pop sensation to Pop ‘bad boy’ has undoubtedly been a success for the star, hitting #1 with his new album ‘Believe’ earlier this year.

However, in what comes a shocking blow for his continued efforts to elevate his brand to the next level, last night saw him snubbed by the Grammy committee’s  2013 nomination list.

This, much to the horror of his manager Scooter Braun.

His thoughts below…

    F*** HIM!!!!!

    • kimberly December 6, 2012

keep sleeping on the hot 100 and digital charts fool. no wonder the men dominated the grammys this year cause the ladies were too busy trying to get the hits with fast food music. jb deserves a nom more than niki minaj. that mes of an album coming from a near 30 yr old. grow the f*** up.

    • King B>Rihanna December 6, 2012

Grammy don’t only look at commercial success they look at quality hence why that jazz girl beat Jb and Bon Iver beat the other people.

      • huh December 6, 2012

Because Starships is a horrible song. Grammys= 2 parts Quality, 1 part commercial success.

    • Mark December 6, 2012

And? Love on Top was released this year, it’s when music is released withing a grammy year, so get over it. Sells don’t mean s*** to the grammys. I bet you think that Twilight should get an Oscar just cause it did well at the boxoffice.

    • mobwife December 6, 2012

I actually agree with you on ALL POINTS!

Bieber’s team pulled this same sh*t last year when he didn’t in the Best New Artist award. They b*tched and they moaned. You have to be careful when you are dealing with this body/ collection of folks if you indeed hope to win.

I’m not sure why Beyonce is being nominated come on ow really? Nothing against Bey but let’s just stop the foolishness! I’m not a Nicki fan but Starships was a hugh hit for her. I too could she hr being nomiated before Beyonce this go around!

SMFH at the contiued Frank Ocean bullsh**! So what he’s gay! His nomination is more of a Hollyweird political statement! IMO

    • glum December 10, 2012

      Shut up.

some artist win their first grammy at 17 yrs.(no names) what’s the issue now

    • stoney-brie December 6, 2012

      True say!

    • Trev December 6, 2012

b*******! LMFAO is nominated…”Call Me Maybe” is nominated…”Gangnum Style” is nominated…i dont wanna her that bs….Grammy’s robbed Nicki and Justin Bieber yet again and that’s that

      • AmbeRussell December 6, 2012

what would they have been nominated for though??

      • mobwife December 6, 2012

LMFAO & Psy SHOULD NOT BE NOMINATED and I REALLY DOUBT if either wins! Berry Gordy’s son and nephew are LMFAO so that explains their nomination. The Motown founder is still very influiential in the music industry. NEPOTISM and CRONYISM are strong in the industry!

Carley Rea Jasup should have only been nominated for Best New artist. Call Me Maybe was just a catchy song. You win BULLSH** Awards like American Music Awards or People,Teen or Kid Choice Awards for a GARBAGE SONG like that, not a GRAMMY! IMO

      • Common Sense December 6, 2012

Robbed?! LOL I can’t even! Neither of those two talentless hacks can hold a note to save their lives. The Grammys lost enough credibility by even nominating JB last year. Not nominating him or Nicki Garbage can only help improve their image.

      • DC September 24, 2013

Nicki? You think that fake ass b**** deserves anything?

  3. Mrs Robyn Brown (BEYONCE’S WEAVE) December 6, 2012

I agree, it’s unfair he got snubbed, he had a successful transition and he deserved to be recognized for that. Believe is a fantastic record and it’s totally unfair what the Grammy’s committee did to him. Anyway moving on JB, staying the underdog for a little while longer.

    • raquelneto- REAL December 6, 2012

he NOT BAD , but jb songs is not for A DAMN GRAMMY . do you understand, he a teenstar . let me hear and see him in 10 years time .

      • YB December 8, 2012

Teen star? What’s Taylor Swift? What is Britney Spears? What are the Jonas Brothers? LeAnn Rimes won 2 at age 14. Youngest nominee was 9. And JB himself nominated twice at 16.
Grammys are about music period. Unless you’re on the actual Grammy board, you have no idea what their criteria are for choosing nominees. I wonder if the people who are bashing JB’s album have actually listened to it. It’s sophisticated and mature not bubblegum pop. It absolutely deserved a nomination.

  4. j December 6, 2012

    f*** justin and his manager!!!

    • raquelneto- REAL December 6, 2012

this the same manager that is PSY s*** singer manager . scotter does not know s*** . all his artist are s*** . just one good one called cody simpson

  5. Mad-On-Her December 6, 2012

They don’t give grammies out for who works the hardest. If they did, I’m sure JB would have been nominated. It’s about music, and successful though he is, I don’t think he contributed anything this year that will be remembered in years to come. His greatest legacy so far is probably the Youtube views for Baby, and even that just got overtaken by Gangham Style.

    • kimberly December 6, 2012

if you could say this about jb, it can be said about alot of artist which were nominated. especially record of the year and pop vocal performance. It just shows that 2012 was the worst.

      • Mad-On-Her December 6, 2012

Who exactly in the record of the year and best pop vocal does that apply to? I think the categories look pretty strong this year. Saying that, I agree this has been the worst year for music that I can remember in a long time. I just hope Kelly wins something, I think she deserves it.

  6. White girl mob December 6, 2012

S*** y’all bitching about Justin & nicki not getting s***. But what about kreayshawn her single gucci gucci went gold! She had the most views for that video more views than beyonce & Rihanna put together. Kreayshawn deserves a Grammy to she came a long way out the tough mean streets of Oakland. But ya rather give it to non talent artist like beyonce & Rihanna smh.. Ya drop the ball big time this year

    • Mark December 6, 2012

      Go did Rebecca Black, and?

    • MJ Lover December 6, 2012

      Bye b**** !!!

    • Britbutnotproud December 6, 2012

Maybe they should have a booby prize grammy for albums below 3,0000 sales and maybe Kreayshawn would stand a change.

  7. stoney-brie December 6, 2012

    Grammys are not for free

  8. King B>Rihanna December 6, 2012

He did not get snubbed.A snubb is when an artist deserves to be nominated for awards but was not. Believe did not desereved s***.As much as the grammy is by-ass as hell(can’t believe WH only have 6).They had all right not to acknowledge blatant attempt at abusing urban culture(who in the world has a swag coach) to widen his fan base.Grammy are not only about commercial success it is also about critical reception and quality and Believe while successful is not a quality album.Justin Bieber is a poor man Justin Timberlake, Usher and Ne-Yo and you will deal. That is that jazz girl(i know her name but it is to long to spell) won Best New Artist because she had a better album than Bieber thus proving what i have been saying all the time commercial success does not mean good quality.

    • Common Sense December 6, 2012

Exactly. A snub is basically what The Grammys have done to Mariah her entire career.

    • BILL December 8, 2012

  9. HOTSTUFF December 6, 2012

Justin needs a grammy for what ????? for being a teen sensation ??? ? -_-.

    • HOTSTUFF December 6, 2012

      a pre-teen****

    • AmbeRussell December 6, 2012

that isnt even that great. he rarely sings live n the ama showed that his voice (though has potential) isnt anything the cry over

  10. Bey Fan December 6, 2012

What is this transition ppl talking bout??

He might be a heartthrob to young ladies, and he may be a hard worker…. but he didn’t have one memorable song off this album.

But why is the manager bitchin about it….. dude is young and has plenty of time to grow and make more quality music….

    • MRB December 6, 2012

I agree with you 100% People dont see that only because he’s a cute lilttle white boy with a million little girls following him that his music has not been groundbreaking! No one cares about how cute he is! He hasnt had a hit that has strong writting credits! His music isnt garbage but compared to his peers he is out of his league!

    • Mark December 6, 2012

Or they know that his time is up. I don’t see this kid going past 20 with a career. Although it is a good album, but not great. It was pretty much Justifide watered down.

  11. Petra December 6, 2012

Nicki deseves so does every act that put out great music but its not abt having the best selling single its quality and her time will come. As for bey and kelly clarkson, fun and riri congrat but i thought love on top will get best rnb song nom but i know you cant always have it all

  12. Irate_Ninja December 6, 2012

This WHITE BOY! Don’t need s*** but a big c*** in his b*** hole so he know its real. Miguel I’m glad he getting recognized for something tho.

  13. J. Vryheid December 6, 2012

Beauty and a beat won’t get your ass nominated for a Grammy!

It takes TALENT to achieve that.

Now you and Nicki can go back to your pool party…

Neither of you are invited to the Grammy one!

    • Mark December 6, 2012

      Damn! lol

      • PSA December 6, 2012

        Nicki’s had 4 grammy noms . ,

and performed solo last yr !

        & hosted the grammy concert

        h**, have a seat ! _/

      • PSA December 6, 2012

That pool party made them top 20 on itunes & billboard #OOP!

U dont get paid for grammys ! Soooo

I rather have sales & endorsements for “popcorn music”

and get, deep, serious meaningful songs LATER in my career for a grammy !

      • AmbeRussell December 6, 2012

and yet they are bitching about not getting a grammy haha u can say how u feel, but it doesnt change the fact that both nicki and justin want a grammy. no wonder why the breakfast club wasnt checking for her videos lol

        AmbeRussell on youtube

  14. Petra December 6, 2012

I was hoping love on top will get best rnb song nom but congrat to bey, kelly and fun, guess bey now ties dolly parton with most grammy nominated female artist in history with 45 nom

  15. erghhh December 6, 2012

He hasnt done anything memorable this era so y would he get nominated looks like him and his managment need their dummies put back in thier mouths bunch of b******

  16. BEEyonced December 6, 2012

Ridiculous. Even with the absensce of King Michael and Queen Whitney (amongst others) this trailer trash lipping ain’t goin’ nowhere.

  17. MISHKA December 6, 2012

Me for once, I actually agree he should have been nominated for something but I can’t think of anything grammy-worthy he did this year…and I guess that’s what the Grammy people felt too.

I know he was not expecting a nom over that Timberlakish song though. Timberlake was the bomb when he was 18, Chris Brown was the bomb when he was 18. Bieber still looks like a baby and tries to act like a man, maybe that’s his main problem. Nobody took him seriously this year. Meanwhile, One Direction is coming hard. I kinda feel bad for him.

  18. Mark December 6, 2012

Oh please! Talk about a kid used to getting what he want. This guy is trying to get his fans to riot. This is the grammys, not teen choice awards, there been singers that are/were bigger then this kid and didn’t win or get a nom. Britney, all those boy bands from the 90’s and they sold way more then this kid. Tour? So does Elmo. Plus the Grammy just use the pop acts just to get people to tune in, awards will always go to less known, but better artists.

  19. ABCD December 6, 2012

To the JACKASSSES, the Grammys are based off of QUALITY and TALENT not SALES, and Commercial Success so why the F*k are u guys rumbling on about TOP SELLING SINGLES, TOurs ETC?????????.. #SIT

  20. ABCD December 6, 2012

And why did he tweet UNderdog to get persons to have a PITY PARTY???, Justin Bieber is anything BUT an UNDERDOGG!!!!!! (SO NOT AN UNDERDOG) WTF!!

    • babygurl84 December 6, 2012

Thank you!!!!! I was thinking the same thing. You mention all his success, then talk about he’s the underdog. I want even say he’s the underdog at the grammys b/c he was nominated for 2 awards when he first came out. Scooter would’ve still been mad if JB was nominated but didn’t win. The young man is hardly a underdog. like you said, Mr. Braun is just trying to get the pity party started

  21. J December 6, 2012

  22. LTM December 6, 2012

When are people going to realize the Grammys aren’t based off success? Remember when some no name chick beat Bieber for Best New Artist?

  23. Hush December 6, 2012

Good for the Grammy’s for not nominating him. That would have been a joke. Over the past 5-10 years, the Grammy’s have turned to s***, because they’ve been nominating/awarding too many flaky pop artists who don’t deserve it. Maybe staying away from Bieber was their way of acknowledging that they’ve let themselves because too poppy and are trying to restore some of their lapsed credit. I’m annoyed that Carly Rae Jepsen was nominated for such a silly ass song. If music is to ever change from the fast food crap that it’s become in recent years, then the industry needs to start doing something about it.

Good choice to not nominate Bieber for anything.

  24. the real xoxo December 6, 2012

Why are the Grammys getting so much abuse?
its not THEIR fault your fave’s music is s***.
Its not the teen choice awards.

  25. Belladonna December 6, 2012

He Really should have been up for Grammys this year his music was amazing! most of The people they have for album of the year was b******* just f****** b******* . ALBUM OF THE YEAR should have been – LANA DEL RAY (BORN TO DIE) – MUMFORD & SONS (BABEL) – FUN ( SOME NIGHTS) – JUSTIN BIEBER ( BELIEVE) and last but not lest – FRANK OCEAN ( CHANNEL ORANGE) that’s who should have all been up for album of the year I would have said Taylor but she came out to late.

    • Ren December 6, 2012

      You’re a f*****.

      • Belladonna December 6, 2012

Your Mother you little b****. Lool

    • Common Sense December 6, 2012

Album of the year and Justin Beiber in the same sentence OMFG LOL! I would check myself into a mental hospital if I were you. The amount of delusion it takes to even think that is beyond crazy.

  26. mkigz December 6, 2012

I don’t think he deserved to be nominated this year. Believe was a mediocre album. The only song that I could see being nominated is Boyfriend, but even that wouldnt be enough for a nomination alone. Now the My World 2.0 era deserved grammy nominations IMO.

  27. @bugaboe December 6, 2012

U can have JB singing a quality song but the song wont be credible as its a 17yr old boy singin it ! U cant take him seriously ppl.
His fans are teenagers, what do they know about quality? Nada !

  28. Viciousss December 6, 2012

I don’t agree with him, but I will give his manager props for wording his statement professionally.

I’m so tired of managers and producers going ape on Twitter acting like the hardest gangster while the people they work for aren’t even saying anything.

  29. NFG (No f**** Given) December 6, 2012

good. He sucks. The next MJ my ass. He deserves nickelodeon awards.

    • PEACE December 6, 2012

LOL thank you this is NOT the KIDS CHOICE AWARDS!!

  30. @bugaboe December 6, 2012

And for Nicky M…. Sorry guys, Starships is a stupid song without any content.
She is a 28yr old why appeals to 10yr old kids! And u want that to win a Grammy?
    NO WAY !
Any way, Nicky is a Gimmick after all !

    • truth tea (take a sip) December 6, 2012

Umm shes not 28 shes 29, turning 30 at the weekend.

      • PSA December 6, 2012

That wasn’t her only song released this yr though ! LOL
#RE-UP will be nominated for 2014, it came out too late (Nov)

  31. CBE December 6, 2012

I have a feeling RnB genre is being revived…Frank Ocean and Miguel got so many nominees even though commercially their albums were ok but yeah the quality of music was good and also Tamar Braxton is hitting the top 10 on Itunes? watch out for a major transition to RnB by Mainstream artists just like people jumped on Electro music, Beyonce’s next album will blow up she would be stupid not to release it in February/March and as for Chris he needs to wait a little while an avoid a Rihanna…atleast August around VMA/US tour possibly.

  32. reality December 6, 2012

True narcissist get pissed when they’re not nominated for something because they think their music was something special. Justin has a bad attitude, temper, and one of the most ungrateful child stars to ever step foot into Hollywood. Same thing goes for Kanye when he threw his little b**** fit years ago at the MTV VMAS because none of his music was nominated. Idk why people can be so self consumed and think they just deserve something because of their popularity. He tried too much to pull a JT this era and I think it backfired. From his image, to his sound, and his vocals.

  33. NICK December 6, 2012

yeah, him & NICKI are all over the charts with top selling albums- WEIRD! o well….INDIA AIRE NEVER GOT PRAISED, nor JILL SCOTT I dont think & MARY J, it took her like 4 albums, so its all good….keep pushing good music, the REAL FANS WILL SUPPORT!!!

  34. Real Music Please December 6, 2012

Don’t get mad cuz them crackas rejected you b****

  35. Suicide Blonde December 6, 2012

Somebody kill this b**** please, my dear God, my generation was the best, i mean compares this new boy bands and singers with my teen superstars, you know the likes of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Backstreet Boys and NSYNC, i know, you can’t.

  36. mobwife December 6, 2012

1st he congratulated Carely Rea “WHY THE F**K AM I FAMOUS” Jasup, and said she deserved a Best New Artist nom so we know right off the back he is either high or just insane! 🙂

2nd, these are The GRAMMYs honey, playtime, bullsh*t, and freebees all stop at the GRAMMY GATES! If his PEERS (everyone who has EVER WON a Grammy gets to cast a vote) and the 60 person Grammy Committee does not nominated you then its a damn WRAP!! …PERIOD! This is the process and the same one held by The OSCARS. That’s why they are the HIGHEST HONORS that either a Muscian or Actor can receive!

**Sorry” Biebs, but you gets no love boo boo”

  37. AmbeRussell December 6, 2012

i have never once heard bryan mcknight complain about holding the record for most grammy nominations with out a win. justin, you do not sing well. his music is nothing special. if he was nominated for boyfirend, nsync should have been nominated for girlfriend. they were never nominated from what i know, they never won anything with songs like “gone”, “this i promise you” etc. he should be happy he has the awards and the grammy noms he has received when there are plenty of ppl who never won a grammy, or had to die to be recognized by the academy, ie gerald levert.
anyways, get over yourself and make better music that is liked more by mature minds and not just simple lil pre teens

  38. mobwife December 6, 2012

Okay wait, Scooter Braun is a real fool! Who did he win over? Nothing against Justin Bieber but he was FORCED ON THE PUBLIC JUST LIKE 1 DIRECTION! Sure once you start telling people someone is GREAT….THE BEST THING SINCE MICHAEL JACKSON…….NO ONE IS BETTER……BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, some fools might acual buy that BULLSH**! Sane individuals however, are simply not going to fall prey to that type of MEDIA MANIPULATION. We also don’t fall victim to the FLOOD THE AIRWAVES WITH NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT AN ARTISTS scheme either! No CONTROLLED, BIASED BULLSH*T MEDIA not everyone is “blind, dumb, cripple, and crazy”….LOL 🙂

  39. MC December 6, 2012

    He doesn’t deserve a Grammy.

  40. VILA December 6, 2012

  41. JOHNVIDAL December 6, 2012

F*** this can´t be real! Did his manager really think this boy was going to do good at the grammys????? Grammys sometimes get it wrong… but boy, not to that extremes

  42. Nick December 6, 2012

He’s not talented, he’s been manufactured artist just like Nicki Minaj, there is no quality to their music. Point Blank. no matter how successful you are, it’s all about the Talent and Quality. and being a gifted artist.

    B**** STFU!!!

Many of you have it all wrong. THE GRAMMYS ARE NOT BASING IT OFF OF JUST TRUE TALENT THIS YEAR! If that was the case, why the hell was LMFAO, Carly Rae Jepson, Psy, Katy Perry, and Rihanna nominated? Even though they didn’t get many nominations, they should have been left out as well. I believe that Justin Beiber should have gotten nominated because he has improved drastically with vocals, dance moves, and performing. Plus, hate him or love him, he is talented. He plays the drums and the guitar! I don’t understand what all the hate is about with this young man. How is he bratty? I never hear him cuss out people who make fun of him and he continues to grow as a singer. His songs this time around were actually pretty good and better than a lot of the #1 singles that are out right now.
