For Def Jam’s Rihanna, recent years have seen chart topping become just as organic as breathing- scoring a mind blowing 8 US #1 singles since April 15th 2008.
Now, just months after her own chart arrival, it seems her ROC sister Rita Ora is following suit with her debut album ‘ORA‘. For, in what we’d say solidifies Roc Nation‘s status as one of Pop’s better oiled machines, both starlets have made major gains on iTunes today.

Five months after release, Rita‘s ‘ORA’ now sits pretty at #2 on iTunes UK, carried to the spot by renewed interest in the experimental project.
Meanwhile, Rihanna‘s 2010 project ‘LOUD’ has done what many would have deemed impossible and outsold her new LP ‘Unapologetic’ this week, after being reduced to £3.99, an added incentive for fans to buy an already loved album.
Perched at #25, ‘LOUD‘ sits 6 spots above ‘Unapologetic‘s Deluxe Edition- which recently surpassed sale of 1.2 million units worldwide just one month after its November 19th launch date, and days after its lead single ‘Diamonds’ was certified Platinum in the UK. A feat, made all the more impressive considering its current position at #6 on the single’s tally, one spot above the stunning ‘Stay‘.
Marking her first US #1 album, ‘Unapologetic’s now enjoys Gold certifications in Australia, Poland, New Zealand, Germany and Denmark, helped in part by cuts penned by Sia, Benny Blanco and Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Elijah Blake.
