It may have taken seven years, but Rihanna consistency as an entertainer reached all new heights this year- upon the launch of her new album ‘Unapologetic‘.
Of course, while her voice still holds the goat like twang that has us begging for Beyonce‘s return, it seems her flawless performance at the ‘X Factor UK’ two weeks ago is paying off in ways not even she could have imagined.
Details below…
After reaching #6 on the UK Singles Chart last week, this Sunday is set to see her moving number ‘Stay‘ hit the Top 4, marking her latest Top 5 release in the country.
If she succeeds in reaching #1, she will match Rita Ora‘s record for being the only Roc Nation act to score two or more UK #1s this year, after all three of the latter’s launch singles reached the top spot less than six months after each other.
What’s more impressive however, is that it will mark the singer’s first time in the Top 5 with a solo ballad since 2009’s ‘Russian Roulette’ and will undoubtedly help push sales of its supporting album, which now sits with sales of 1 million units sold worldwide, despite under performing in the US.
Spawning the cuts ‘Diamonds‘, ‘Pour It Up’ and the Elijah Blake written, ‘No Love Allowed‘, ‘Unapologetic’ will be supported by a 2013 stadium tour put on by the singer, billed… the ‘Diamonds World Tour‘.
However, in the event you don’t feel like wasting your money on that show, February 2013 will see her idol Beyonce grace the Superbowl Halftime show in support of her fifth studio album.
