That Leona reign just won’t let up!
After debuting at #3 in the UK back in October, the Pop piece has gone on to exceed expectations in Europe’s largest music market, Germany.
Good news below!
Retailing at €9.99, the album soared to the top of iTunes Germany chart, while faring just as well in Austria- scoring the album a new peak position of #1.
The best news to come from the LP’s chart run in some time, its unexpected success has seen it outsell some of last year’s biggest releases in the markets, with Emeli Sande‘s ‘Our Version Of Events‘ perched at #23 (Germany) and Rihanna‘s ‘Unapologetic’ sat at #94 (Austria).
Set for US release this Spring, here’s hoping the ‘Heart’s European glory is the incentive her camp needs to push the project even further than they already have.
This, by ensuring any potential singles are given the radio push they deserve and that any new numbers that may help it match sales of ‘Spirit‘ in the US are recorded and placed in time for its launch.
For, the way we see it, Leona is only one beautiful single away from restoring interest in what really is remarkable album, but just hasn’t caught on as fast as its predecessors did.

also number one in Austria. She’s more popular in Europe than in the UK. And Germany is bigger market than the UK so it’s very positive news.
this chick ship sale ages ago…she’s pretty much irrelevant at this point.

But aprt from that, great for her if she is getting some love in some countries. She doesn´t deserve to totally flop. She can´t be a huge megastar, she lacks something. But at least deserves to be moderately successful imo

Mariah is ten times the singer Leona will ever be! Mariah’s voice can not compared, even when Mariah songs are rubbish the vocals are good. Can the same be said for Leona?
Funny as you’re stanning for an artist who can’t even hit a note…. Even karaoke is too hard for that goat. Your ‘artist’ sells music because she’s naked all the time and gets punched in the face by a n*****… You just don’t know what good music is.
When Leona first debuted she was billed as the new MC. But something happened where the masses didn’t buy into it after her debut era. I feel her label should have marketed her as Leona Lewis rather then an already established pop icon. So in doing that it did her more harm then good. Hopefully she could bounce back and win on her own merits.
what happened was it soon transpired that she is a good vocalist and not a great one. Technically good, vocally boring and has the ability to make everything sound the same which Mariah and even many lesser artists don’t do. No one aspires to sing like Leona, they sill prefer Mariah and Whitney, or even Jessie J
LL’s problem is that she is plain ol’ boring. There’s no soul in her voice. The voice is great but their’s no soul behind it. She and Jordin sparks (well Jordin finally got the hint) both need to go urban I MEAN TOTALLY URBAN. Production doesn’t make you sound more urban, vocal ability does. Singers with soul have, its not produced via tracks

She needs to release “Glassheart” as a single!! That song is beyond amazing!! And she needs to include “Collide” as a part of the US album (not just as a bonus track)
