Cherish Announce Comeback / New Single

Published: Sunday 24th Feb 2013 by Sam

Though not quite Destiny’s Child, sister quad Cherish served as one of the more notable girl group’s to emerge once Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams went their separate ways in 2005.

Enjoying hits such as ‘Do It To It’ and ‘Unappreciated’, the Atlanta bred beauties looked poised for major success. That is, until their record label merged with another – leaving much of the roster, Cherish included, in disarray.

And while two of the group would try and press on as a duo, it clear Cherish is where the heart and money is. For, the ladies have announced they are making a comeback; and sooner than you think too.

Details after the jump…

In a new video message, the sisters urge fans to make March 1st a date for the diary:

While it remains to be seen if the group have addressed their prime problem (see: not selling the essence of each member), we’d be lying if we said we weren’t at least eager to hear what they serve up this go round. For, beyond a solid run of singles, their overall  discography boasts a number of gems. Check out some of our favourites below…

“Unappreciated” the album, was hot! And it went gold. I thought they’d be the next big girl group, but they suffered the sophomore slump. Hopefully they can return with some bangers!

    Cherish was actually pretty dope.

I would say their best song is “Moment In Time”

  18. SHA February 24, 2013

Lmsoooo these b****** bring nothing but ghetto hood anthems if they don’t want to flop I suggest a more contemporary R&B with some pop infuse if they want to succeed but with that title GET THAT BOY the only thing they will get is a seat when they flop!!!

  19. Eye Candy February 24, 2013

They haven’t released a new LP for 6 years, did they think people would wait for them?
These 90’s – early 2000 artists got too comfortable with their success and got lazy, now most of them are forgotten.
Besides, their were only 2 girls that knew how to sing while the rest sat there and looked pretty.
I’ll resereve my judgement until I hear the song though.

  20. FAF February 24, 2013

I enjoyed Cherish, there only problem was the didn’t sell there personalities with the music because I can’t remember none of their names but with Twitter and instagram around they’ll have a way much better shot. I’m excited

  27. Slayty Perry February 24, 2013

“sister quad Cherish served as one of the more notable girl group’s to emerge once Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams went their separate ways in 2005.” Danity Kane and the PCD disagree. Ive never heard of these girls

  28. Drew February 24, 2013

Y’all two days late. They posted up that on their Facebook page on Friday. I’ve always liked Cherish since 2003. They currently are the only R&B female girl group besides SWV out now. I’ll be checking for their new music.

  29. JER February 25, 2013

Cherish had a lot of potential. I will def be checking to see what they come up with

  30. Blackrangr February 25, 2013

It’s obvious you know nothing about music the hood jams are what’s popular now in America, pop is dying very fast. You sound so stupid & your the one who needs to have a seat *points to chair*

  31. Maestro J February 25, 2013
