I used to be the biggest Madonna hater because I love and adore Janet so damn. I went as far as blasting Madonna’s Superbowl show and claim she looked like the super-hot and talented dancing granny from the movie “54”. That was nothing but sheer hate for Madonna but then I went back and rediscovered how cool of a chick she was and is. Everyone that knows me, understands that I live, breath and worship Ms. Jackson and normally there is no comparison between Ms. Jackson and Madonna. Then I God touched my heart and irealized that God doesn’t like ugly and by saying horrible things about Madonna, which they aren’t true but hurtful, I will never be blessed in this life or any life. God gave me something even greater and that would be knowing that both ladies have these awesome God-giving talents that they have shared with the world for some time. They both have inspired so many, especially young people to live out their dreams and reach for the stars. The fact that both Janet and Madonna are both Iconic in their own way makes sense. Mind you, I live in a world full of truth and some of the doors that were opened to Madonna weren’t opened to Janet because she was a Jackson and she was a Black female. However, Janet would prevail and Madonna would go on to be this Mega-star. It’s sad to think that these women have never met one another and been rivals only in media because it was a feud created by media. It would have been nice to see these two women of power come together and create some serious magic. Instead both women have worked with some of the same industry people but never collaborated on anything together. Unlike some of the acts they both would be responsible for inspiring: RiRi, Bey, Britney and the list goes on and on but these impressionable women and a few men have had successful collaboration with other artists who might have been as big or even bigger than them.
Even Pioneer Superstar Babs went in with up and coming mega singer Ms. Celine to create magic and everyone knows about Mimi (Mariah Cannon, Hey) and the late and great Ms. Whitney having a media feud, to end up winning gold all-around with their song “When You Believe”. Janet and Madge, you ladies of a certain age need to get over yourself and come together and create some sheer magic. Hell Monica and Brandy would have some serious media scraps but ended up created “The Boy is Mine” which would not only be a hit but a meg-hit and won them a few awards. Maybe the old girls could take some cues from the young girls.
