Yes, after rocking the Grammy house with a Jay Z-assisted performance this past Sunday, JT dropped ‘Mirrors’ – the second single from his soon-to-be-released third solo LP.
Instantly winning over long-term fans with its throwback ode to the Timbaland-produced ‘Cry Me A River’, today saw the 8 minute number cut down to half size and served with an accompanying artwork – confirming rumors of its “single” appointment.

The song’s parent album is due in stores March 19.

Not feeling the cover but I like the song. Not really “innovative” in terms of sound but at least it’s not “Suit & Tie!” This could’ve been a cut song from Future S**/Love Sounds..

Suit and Tie video hasn’t even been out , and the 2nd single is being rumored with artwork? HIs camp is moving extremely fast. Gosh, I still need time to accept the fact that he’s been gone for a million years. I appreciate the steady face of this era, but it’s beginning to move in a rapid pace.
What happened to well paced well sequenced well PR’ed era/ (see Britney’s In the Zone, Rihanna’s Loud, Christina Aguilera’s Stripped)
Hmmm, here’s the thing.
JT has stated that he wants to make “music you can see.” The music and singing are very good. He uses his bright tone to fill up the song with vibrant harmonies which improve the track.
The problem is that rather than edit the last half of the song to fit in he just deleted it all together. The last half was too repetitive and unprogressive but 30 seconds would’ve added some welcome aural diversity.
MJ often had long songs that were expertly cut down fot radio size. For 8 minutes this song didn’t really do anything to justify its length. If there are only 10 tracks on this album he can’t cheat by offering repetitive songs of this length to make people feel their getting more. We need more quality not running time.

I like this and suit and tie…but i can def see how this song was a saving grace for the pop fans of Justin…
This is that sound that i love! Not only am i pumped for Justin timberlake’s album, but this renews my faith in timbaland, which makes me anticipate keri hilson’s album even more. Tim and Keri better know what they are doing.
