Beyonce‘s new tour ‘The Mrs. Carter Show’ is earning praise aplenty for being a musical must-see.
Now, the global jaunt has become even more enticing; for it has today been announced that vocal powerhouse Luke James has been tapped to open the European leg of the trek.
Details and dates below…
Speaking on being picked by the 17-time Grammy winner, James -who was recently nominated for Grammy himself- said:
“It is such an unimaginable honor to be sharing the light yet again with Beyoncé on her sold out Mrs. Carter Show World Tour. This is a blessing that I do not take lightly. Thank you Beyoncé.”
Beyonce added in a press statement:
“Luke James is a gifted singer and songwriter and what he does on stage with his pure falsetto is incredible. I am excited to have him join the tour and to introduce this soulful singer to an audience in Europe that will be discovering a true star”.
The slot is a major coup for the New Orleans’ native, who returns home in July to play the Essence Music Festival. He is also flex his acting skills in the upcoming ‘Black Nativity’ movie, which co-stars Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Jennifer Hudson and Mary J. Blige.

Beyonce is really showing this upcomin artist love well it good that she is giving him this spot cos it will hive him more exposure.
Wow. Winning!

he just does it for my p**** when he sing chile. good choice Bey!!!
i see you at it luke keep doin ya thang.
the king and my boo..life has been received.
She stays using people.
destiny’s child, jayz now poor luke smh.
The only reason she even showed this kid love is because she’s probably is trying to work with him. She’s trying to rebuild her R&B credits! She saw Brandy and other artist using him so she said O Hell No! He’s Mine I’m Hitting It First!
UMMM HE OPENED UP A REVEL ! AND HE WAS IN RUN THE WORLD VIDEO GET UR FACTS STR8! OR SHUT UP B!THCH
U MADDD????
Riiiiiiiight because Beyonce isn’t a music veteran who has been in the game for almost 20 years with a sold out tour, so she’s using him to get more fans. You all genuinely make me laugh. There is no such thing as logic around here. Anyway, Congrats to him! I wish him the best.
20 years and her last album still flopped. Use that energy and go buy her last album. I don’t care how big Beyonce is her music today sucks ass!
Let’s get this straight, before Brandy had the oportunity to work with Luke James, Luke first work with Beyonce on her videoRun the World and open for her at Revel. This has allow him some exposure and by opening up again for Beyonce overseas this give him even more exposure and I truly commend Beyonce for allowing him to open for her to help give him that extra needed exposure. Again let me remind you Luke James work with Beyonce first and he’ll tell you that that and appreciates the experience she allow him, so get it right.
That is what i say let her hire who she feel good about working with for now there’s nothing wrong with that, it is so hard to please everybody.
She’s such a good person.
Good for him, get that exposure.
“Musical must-see”??
@Sam you are far too kind with your adjectives. You tried though.
Yes! Love him!
He already supported her with Revel, so no surprise. She obviously sees a lot of potential in him. Hes amazing.
Good choice. Much better than Chantel on her last European tour *eye roll*.
you go bey you are smart talenred and a god persion hatters have nortin on you they are mad their favorite don have your quality love you
Solange or Kellly would have been great to.
I heard he sings PBR&B (like my master Frank Ocean) so maybe I’ll listen to one of his albums whenever I get a some time.
But wow, 25 Beyonce dates?!!
They’d be a hot couple…..#JustSaying
Better not let jayz here you say that.
Very good choice.
Yes! But I would’ve thought North America more.
europeans love soul tho… especially England……
I hope he takes advantage of this opportunity and do some radio & Tv interviews/performances in England and France
i’m just glad that we get Eva Simons as opening act here in Holland. I’ve been rooting for that girl since her debut single silly boy.
Now that’s a very good choice. Keep it up BEYONCE.
Didn’t richgirl open for beyonce? Lmao!!! Where r they again
