Rap Prince Tyga may see the bulk of his brand based in the US, but the last week has seen his new album ‘Hotel California’ received with open arms in the UK.
So much so, he’s set to top the nation’s Hip Hop charts and land himself a spot in the Official Top 40.
Good news after the jump…
Packing the heat that is ‘Dope‘, ‘Palm Trees’ and ‘For The Road’, British sales of the album have been so fruitful that he currently holds the #24 spot on iTunes UK and #1 on the Hip Hop chart, despite his absence from the country.
With only two days to go until the overall charts are published, there’s no doubt that Tyga will top the Official Urban chart and stand proud as the highest selling Hip Hop artist of the week, days before the album impacts the Billboard 200.
Joining Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and Drake in flying the Young Money flag in the competitive market, the Rap cat marks the latest Hip Hop effort to soar here without physically being here.
This, a positive indicator of how well the MC would fare if he was to follow in Minaj’s suit and launch a full on arena tour in aid of the project.
