You saw her perform ‘Radioactive’ at the event, now watch Rita Ora‘s full set at Radio 1’s ‘Big Weekend’ below!
While we’re sure we’ll be accused of exaggerating when we say this, what you’ll see below is easily one of the best live showings to come from the starlet- boasting pitch perfect live vocals and subtle changes to her arrangements that literally breathe new life into her material.
Check out the performance and our review of it below!
On a styling and choreography tip, she really fell short- far too experimental and rigid respectively to impress.
However, we seriously can’t enough of the genius that is her live arrangements and her band’s delivery them.
Of course, while it was her voice that shone brightest during the set, it was the production to and behind them that has us hoping that whoever was behind moments like the 10.06- 10.47 mark is on hand to work on her second LP.
For, as good as her debut was, it has the unique disadvantage (or benefit) of sounding better live than it does on its official releases. Problematic, as her official releases sound pretty skeletal right after playing their live versions.
With album #2, here’s hoping the same attention to detail that’s put into making her live shows tick is put into crafting the project’s sound, and that her aesthetic eventually becomes more akin to ‘Loud’ than it is to ‘Rated R’.
