Since footage of Danity Kane dining hit the net last month, fans have been scrambling for more details on what appears to be the reunion everyone has been waiting for.
For the most part, though, the ladies have remained relatively silent on the matter – besides absentee D. Woods, who confirmed that she will not be taking part in whatever reconciliation is on the cards.
That is until now.
The group’s most vocal member, Aubrey O’Day, lived up to her billing when spotted at Bootsy Bellows in West Hollywood this week. For, when questioned about the group’s “comeback”, she shared interesting morsels of info.
Find out what she said after the jump…
Responding to a paparazzo question, O’Day revealed that not only are the Making The Band ensemble cooking up new material, they are also working with reality TV juggernauts 51 Minds:
Exciting.
For those not in the know, 51 Minds is the production company behind shows such as ‘T.I & Tiny: The Family Hustle’, ‘Brandy & Ray J: A Family Business’, ‘Flavor Of Love’, and ‘I Love New York’. Notice the trend? Each of the titles are major VH1 hits, which may provide an inkling as to where any such DK show may end up. With their former stomping ground rarely showing music these days, VH1 could prove a comfortable home – one which already caters to the group’s target audience.
That said, wherever any such televised reunion ends up, we can’t wait for it! Here’s hoping a solid label has picked (or will pick) the ladies up. Because, if set-up “right”, DK could (once again) be poised for major success.
