I just saw the #Beautiful performance. Gosh it was terrible. Miguel was god-damn off key, Mariah was struggling at some parts, and before the whistle register notes her voice was scratchy.
Mariah looked much better than she sounded. Utter mess but it was better than her other performances of this song.
Really, Maybe it’s the quality of the video. It’s still 1000 times better than GMA though. She didn’t lip sync either.

It’s weird because some videos I see she sounds so clear, and then others are damn cell phone quality vids that didn’t even pick up the “thrill me” whistle run. Rae Rae knows good and well she should have brought in the film crew and made some behind the scenes magic happen + film this performance.
I was a little annoyed with her entrance and the way Miguel introduced her, because it came off awkward. They need to work out some stage blocking for this and decide exactly how they are gonna perform this because I am not here for all the shenanigans. By now they should be comfortable enough to do this on Leno, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, and for sure on the BET awards!

I love that she visits Summer Jam from time to time and this was perfect, but she needs to be doing a mix of mature events and for SURE the late night shows and her overseas promo needs to pick up.
