You keep saying The Way and Beautiful are selling about the same but I fail to see how you came to this idea. The Way hit #1 on iTunes in less than 4 hours and holds one of the top 1st week sales of the year sofar, second to only Suit & Tie. The Way has been in the top 20 on iTunes and Beautiful has already fallen out despite being released earlier and with more promo.
It´s easy. The way has sold over 1 million cheap digital copies and #Beautiful has sold over 500,000 cheap digital copies in half the time. It´s pretty much the same to me. And about the promo, they had similar promo too. Mariah has only performed it in a couple of shows, and Ariana in 2 or 3, or maybe more, I don´t remember. The thing is Ariana should be the next hottest thing if she were anything similar to Mariah´s greatness, it´s not looking like that, it´s just a nice success, and we´ll see if it lasts at least a few years or something.
