Well, considering I just found out who she was yesterday while browing on Yahoo!, then I agree with her album sales & single peaks on the charts, yeah, her career is over. I mean, I never listened to like 4 of her new & dryed up old songs of hers, because I couldn’t bare to go on. so I wouldn’t know how good of a singer she is. Now that ive found some names of her songs I’ll go look them up on youtube. But, for now, her career isn’t going so smoothly.

her last album, fantasy ride, they released an r & b soul song as her lead single. Pop music is currently more popular than soul music, yet they waited 3 months to release a pop single for her(Love, S**, & Magic). She also had another song that was very similar to her 1,2 step song(Work w/ Missy Elliot) and her label only released the song “internationally).As a result, nobody even knew she was putting out an album, and her album flopped.Then, her label released Basic Instinct, which has two good singles, Speechless(similar to promise) and Gimme Dat(similar to Get Up), but they decided to release a sexually explicit song that has fur coats and talks about riding penises as the lead single.Even with the huge increase in illegal downloading, Fantasy Ride and Basic Instinct could have gone gold, had her label not put out crappy songs as the lead singles. this is ciara’s comeback!!! everything feels right this era! although i prefer top notch vocalists, ciara has regained me as a fan. Material is right, promotion is right, vocals have improved, and the visuals are high quality. if she flops this time, we cannot blame it on any of that, but most likely “the current state” of r&b.
