I love true greats. This last generation is just so damn sad to watch…. that I just have to defend the few people with talent among the ones between 20-29 years old in mainstream music. Gaga has talent. That´s the point. Applause is a good dance track, it´s a bit generic but still good. Roar not being a dance track doesn´t make it any less generic. That s*** is generic, basic, childish and the girl can´t sing.
Now that we are discussing my taste you should know this: I don´t have any type of respect for Britney, Rihanna, Mylie, Katy, Justin Beiber and more talentless “artists” I can´t think about right now. I´m talking musically. Of course as a person they deserve my respect as everybody else. I never slam them personally (kids, health, weight, lovers, etc), just musically. It´s true. Songs like Almost Home are below Mariah´s level. For all these other girls it is just the type of pop song they ususally do, and that´s why many not that real fans of Mariah loved Almost Home. But if I replayed it to death was because Mariah´s vocal acrobatics, the song is not memorable (it didn´t need to be obviously anyway).
