His career may have stalled in recent years, but Papoose proves his stock as a lyricist is just as high as it ever was with ‘First Chain‘, the diss track aimed at Hip Hop favourite Big Sean.
Why?
Well, when quizzed on Pap’s response to the controversial ‘Control’ during an appearance on hit show ‘The Breakfast Club‘, Sean responded with ‘who?’, teasing the Rapper’s supposed irrelevancy.
Now, the ‘Thug Connection’ MC is fighting back with lyrics aimed at Sean and his mentor Kanye West!

PAPOOSE I FELL IN LOVE!
LYRICALLY A BEAST! TELL THEM GIRLS PUT THEM SKIRTS DOWN!
SLAY!
SIPS HENNESSY MOTHER MONSTER SNATCHING WIGS!
Isn’t this the guy whose biggest hit to date is Busta’s ‘Touch It (Remix)’? Then he dissed Lamar Kendrick, and now these two?
Sounds like a male Azealia Banks, a virtual nobody with nothing to show for his career, only he airs out his grievances on wax.
I like that the song wasn’t a random diss but kind of spoke about social issues, which was good. The thing I didn’t like is him calling Sean soft cos he’s not a thug, not every black man is out selling crack in the trap son.
You know what, I think this came from a place of hurt and not anger so I can’t even go in on Paps too much.
I’m sorry, but how can Papoose say anything about Sean’s career when he’s NEVER been on top.
# takes ten minutes to laugh at his name=pappussy lol…thiz guy should hang tha mic, throw in tha towel….need i say more
irrelevant nutcaze
stfu papussy
Papoose went in.
This is what hip-hop is about – competition and battling! not charts and certifications.
wait wait *Sipps tea* whats a papoose?
Who?
How can you have a diss track when the cover for it is a self-drag. MESS!
Dude’s a beast. It’s time for these silly rabbits to take off them skirts.
But who is he??
Those hurt that an apparent ‘nobody’ has ‘the nerve’ to diss or out-lyricise an ‘on the charts’ rapper once again completely miss the point of what Hiphop is actually about. Whether you are selling or underground, having talent is what makes you relevant. Psy raps a little on Gangnam Style, should he be taken seriously as a Rapper? No. it’s those who live and breath it and have skills in the booth who are to be taken seriously. Using chart relevance and accolades as sole proof of relevance is misguided.., IMO if man down road raps better than a charting rapper then he is a better and more talented rapper full stop, he is just not as good at business and/or lacks the right team/connections etc. Also, whether you big up or tear down another artist is beside the point, if it’s done with lyricism and skill then I’m here for that. Papoose 1 – Big Sean 0
Murdered that !
Papoose is a BATTLE rapper – he should go against ppl of his own league. Ye and Big Sean are not competition when it comes to that, however they’ll ALWAYS be more relevant. He didnt hate on all of GOOD, though he singled out pusha T
And I agree hip hop is about lyricism but when ppl try to diss Nicki, they always talk about “shes over, she hasnt had a top 10 in months” so y’all gotta pick a side
I liked as much as you’ll obtain carried out proper here.
