The video is a perfect way to cap off the summer. Fun, great visuals, nice 90’s throwback vibe. Ariana, as always, looks flawless. Her styling was on point in every outfit in this video, and I thought the dance scenes she did were cute. People have to give her some credit, this is her first album and she has done a damn good job!

People hating on a young girl, age 20, for doing her thing? Singing and putting out great music and promoting a positive image and positivity in general? She has never done anything worth hating on, never made a snide comment, never shaded anyone, never been negative period. We should be thankful a young newcomer like Ariana is bringing back feel-good music with a different sound than is on the charts right now. I’m sorry, but Mariah would not be disappointed in the way Lambs are treating her. They are probably sending her “burn books” a la Mean Girls filled with stuff about Ariana and Mimi is laughing. WHen it comes to other females that aren’t in her lane she is supportive (Mary J. Blige, Beyonce, etc), but if you get launched out the gate with comparisons to her you will get a chilly and frosty reception from her no matter how much you profess your love for her (see Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, Jennifer Lopez).
If you look at who she shades it’s usually pop artists that she doesn’t want to be compared to or feels threatened by. You will never see Mimi come for no black R&B artists cuz she will get an ass whooping. Nicki was a fan, but she got jealous of Nicki and turned bitchy on her. But I do love Mariah, I am just splling that truth tea. She wouldn’t come for Whitney, cuz she Whitney! Love u mimi and all your diva fabulousness!
It’s Cute. I just wish she had a special someone in a few of these scenes that these lyrics could have been directed towards. I can tell she’s not much of a dancer, but it would have been great to see some simple choreography used to make this video pop a little more. For the most part, it looks like one big collection of footage of her socializing with friends in her down time. Maybe I took the song more seriously than I should. It is still one of my favorites off the album. I wish her continued success.
