Pop star Zara Larsson is enjoying a major career resurgence, but the hitmaker says chart success isn’t the ultimate goal.

Full story below…

The Swedish singer has been riding a wave of momentum thanks to her latest album ‘Midnight Sun,’ viral moments online, and a string of electrifying shows. Yet, despite scoring massive streaming numbers over the years, Larsson says what she truly craves is cultural impact.

Speaking candidly in a new Elle interview, the ‘Lush Life‘ singer addressed critics who question her legacy. She said:

“I know everyone’s talking about the f**king Khia asylum. I’ve had big songs. I’ve had songs that have been streamed billions of times, but I’ve always craved to have a cultural impact. My biggest thing is my shows. That’s where I want people to come and enjoy. That’s really my number-one thing.”

Larsson is currently touring intimate venues across the U.S., a move she says has allowed her to reconnect with fans in a more personal way.

Still, the pop star isn’t slowing down. A deluxe edition of ‘Midnight Sun’ is already in the works, she shared:

“Summer truly isn’t over yet. Midnight Sun was released in September. It’s been brewing all year. I feel like this deluxe is just going to build onto that world that kind of already exists, but in a really fun, different way. I’m very proud of all the people that are a part of this project. I’ve never felt as accomplished as I do when I listen to these songs, because I feel like this is a really big deal for me. I want to do a proper rollout. I want to do the teasing of it all, the anticipation, the little Easter eggs. I’m very excited.”

With momentum on her side, it’s clear Larsson’s era is only heating up.

Its as if the new girls these days suck so much that they have to replant the same old garden seeds from the past to find new plants with blonde hair and blue eyes. Shes been making music for over a decade and literally had no major buzz around her releases whatsoever. She even said she wanted to quit music because she didnt feel like she was taken serious as an artist or something like that. Anywho…the picture slays but let’s see if she can truly live up to the height once the money runs out.
