Lady doesn’t hit a home run on every track on ARTPOP, but I think this is Gaga’s best work. This is coming from someone that found her earlier eras to be filled with gimmicks and BS passed off as art. I remember how so many on this blog used to go to bat for Gaga (they’d defend her if she took a dump on stage and call it a masterpiece). Now Gaga is the artist to hate this year! I hate it when people follow trends. This album seems like her most artistic release to date and I personally don’t think anyone can honestly say this album is trash.

The album is not bad but is not great either, BW remains her best yet, the problem is that the songs that are the good ones in the album are not memorable or too good to stand the test of time, the album is fine for the moment but its not something iconic and its not something that should be compared to the legendary work of other musicians just because you like her, people are no here for her not because of her antics, if the music is good then that would win and i’m not talking about sales, the album could sell millions and still would be just an ok album, if the album flops, its not like it is ‘Erotica’ which deserves to sell a lot based in the good music alone, this is not the time ‘its cool to hate Gaga’, don’t confuse things, there’s nothing you can do to sto the gp to buy music when they like it, Gaga is not doing anything controversial like Madonna did during ‘Erotica’ which was the main reason the album was a flop, nothing is too controversial anymore to make Gaga flop, its the music the problem, is not bad but is not that good either, this is her third album and it should be a masterpiece not just an ok record/comeback album to conquer the gp again, ‘True Blue’ was Madonna third album, ‘Erotica’ was her #5 album, you get my point now.

Right now listening to “Break away” by Celine. Yes I finally did it. Couldn´t resist it. That song is amazing. In fact the worst song by far seems to be the one NeYo wrote “Incredible”. So generic. And I was expecting something good cos he already wrote one for her previous album and it was really incredible, very powerful and with vocals for days. But this one is a mess. Rest of the album is great from what I´m hearing. Can´t wait for these two albums.

The Fame Monster still slays all! This is a huge let down!
I think she gets worse with each album after the FAME. This is surely a flop if I have heard one. I have tried to get into some songs, but its just not that great. Its sort of a hot mess all put together. I am sure her die hard little asshole fans will buy it up and distort the numbers, so she continue to live in her delusional weird little world, but we all can see this is crap.
There are a few cute songs that are okay and not horrible, but nothing to get excited over. I think everyone is getting sick of the gimmick, and I can now see why she used “Applause” as the first single. Try again flopga!
