Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake just go and win everything.

  2. Applause for GaGa and Rih November 24, 2013

Katy perry needs a serious vocal coach.

  3. Stephy Tha Lambily November 24, 2013

Ariana did great, Miley did good, Lady Gaga did great, One Direction did great, Rihanna was welll Rihanna.

I loved Rihannas speech with her BEAUTIFUL MOTHER! No wonder Rihanna has that small models face. Her mother has the same face…

  4. Anne November 24, 2013

I agree Katy could use some lessons and she should take Tboz and Chilli with her.

  5. Lovebird (Britney Jean – 03.12.13) November 24, 2013

    COUNTRY ALBUM

    Taylor Swift, Red

Red is not a Country album, it’s a POP album.

  6. Lovebird (Britney Jean – 03.12.13) November 24, 2013

I see Gags has not won any award, that said, congrats to all the winners. I just have issue with the Country album category, otherwise satisfied with everything else.

  7. Lovebird (Britney Jean – 03.12.13) November 24, 2013

Fun fact, Rihanna is the only Black artist to win anything this year.

    • #Beautiful November 24, 2013

But when you think about it…. What competition did she have? Nicki’s out….. Alicia’s doesn’t have a strong fan base…. Mariah just came out…. And Queen Bey hasn’t released any new material. I mean yeah it’s an accomplishment but she didn’t have any competition… and no matter what you say Rihanna is not true R&B/Soul… She shouldn’t even be in that category

      • YaBish November 24, 2013

A.Keys in the early 2000’s tho was everything. Her B and Ashanti ran R&B. Their first albums was crazy nice.

  8. Lovebird (Britney Jean – 03.12.13) November 24, 2013

So let me get this straight, NOW 48 (second week) and Hunger games soundtrack will sell more copies than Artpop? I can’t.

And let’s not forget Gags not getting a standing ovation after her performance. LMAO

  9. Rosie November 24, 2013

All of the winners are a mess. Red is not a country album and Imagine Dragons are not alternative. But these are the AMAs, no one takes then seriously anyways.
The show itself was boring as hell.

  10. Lady? copy & paste November 24, 2013

Lady Cut-and-Paste strikes again. Bianca Jagger already did this in 1977. Do not pass go. Do not collect two-hundred dollars. Go straight back to the drawing board and try again.

  11. Trinarockstarr November 24, 2013

Yes Queen Rihhana beat Caria I know she was mad.

  12. My Forehead Tho November 24, 2013

The @ the “RnB” and “Icon” categories were disrespecful to music in general.

    America should be ashamed…

  13. My Forehead Tho November 24, 2013

    “Rap & Hip Hop” also…

  14. Dreamlover November 24, 2013

This awards show has literally no credibility. So these awards don’t mean anything. The AMAs are probably the least-respected awards show in the music industry. Also dead at JT sweeping the Soul/R&B categories and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis getting hip-hop/rap recognition. Such a shame.

    • Lovebird (Britney Jean – 03.12.13) November 24, 2013

Actually the least respected award show is the BET Awards.

    • YaBish November 24, 2013

IKR. Rap artist that released albums this year. Wale, Kanye, JayZ, Big Sean & J. Cole and they give the award to Macklemore & RL is a joke. Granted they had a nice summer run with two back to back #1’s.

      • YaBish November 24, 2013

        K. Dot too can’t forget about him.

  15. ENOUGH ONIKA (NEW & IMPROVED) November 24, 2013

Truly disappointing.. And notice how all the urban categories winners are white, Justin had the WORST album of the year. And Rihanna?? I won’t even discuss it…

  16. YaBish November 24, 2013

The fact that Justin T. was nominated for both pop/rock male artist of the year & soul/r&b artist of the year and won both is annoying. CAN WE GET SOME TALENTED NEW ARTIST! I’m getting tired of these same artist.

  17. Diamond November 24, 2013

    Lmao

  18. ENOUGH ONIKA (NEW & IMPROVED) November 24, 2013

And and NOW Taylor is country?? wtf?? Whack ass awards show…

    • Molly November 24, 2013

Love your avi b****. Lmao thats icki forsure

      • ENOUGH ONIKA (NEW & IMPROVED) November 24, 2013

LOL! Thanks hun, yeah this is Onika’s latest Vogue shoot, bleached and all

    • YaBish November 24, 2013

At first taylor was country but crossover & somehow she still manage to get called a country artist even though she is pop.

      • ENOUGH ONIKA (NEW & IMPROVED) November 24, 2013

I’m over these award shows and dumb ass categories. Rihanna shouldn’t be considered R&B anymore either, regardless of the one or two “urban” tracks on her flop album..

  19. Molly November 24, 2013

Couldn’t find lana at Amas did her invitation get lost in the mail…

Ciara deserved the award of Rih.

    • miss ross the boss *icon* November 24, 2013

c-squad should have voted dummy. i have no problem with cici — but you “stans” will make a k*** drag ha to the equator.

  20. Lovebird (Britney Jean – 03.12.13) November 24, 2013

Interesting that in the 90s, so many black artists were sweeping clean the POP, RnB and hip hop categories as well as artist of the year…etc.

Now there’s only Rihanna and maybe Nicki Minaj sweeping some of those awards.

There needs to be a new revolution in urban music TBH. We need a fresh new breed of Janet Jacksons, Donna Summers, Tupacs, Prince, TLCs, Boyz II Men’s, Ushers…etc.

But not Beyonce, we don’t need another kleptomaniac running around.

  21. Rap Lover November 24, 2013

Why are white people winning all the urban awards…?? There are way better artists (who are of color) that released material this year who should have won the R&B and Rap awards. Justin and Macklemore should not have won those.

  22. Molly November 24, 2013

Wtf Taylor didn’t deserve to win anything in the country categories like Rihanna doesn’t deserve to win anything in the r&b categories.

  23. Lovebird (Britney Jean – 03.12.13) November 24, 2013

    NEW ARTIST OF THE YEAR

    Ariana Grande

    —————————

This award should have gone to LORDE, Pure heroine is amazing.

    • YaBish November 24, 2013

Truly yours is too tho… But the grammy award for best new artist is was matters most.

    • Honeymoon Avenue November 25, 2013

      Pressed!

  24. Rosie November 24, 2013

I think Cierror’s relevancy got lost in there, too, Molly.
But anyways this is probably the least respected awards show in the music industry and all of Hollywood along with the Billboard Music Awards and People’s Choice Awards.

  25. Lovebird (Britney Jean – 03.12.13) November 24, 2013

    SINGLE OF THE YEAR

“Cruise,” Florida George Line, feat. Nelly

    ———————————

Not with the slaying that was “Royals”

  26. YaBish November 24, 2013

Am I’m the only one who likes Ciara’s album…I can listen to her album from start to finish…HOWEVER SHE GOT LAZY AF WITH THE PROMO ONCE THE CD DROP.

    • Lovebird (Britney Jean – 03.12.13) November 24, 2013

      I really love the album.

  27. Lovebird (Britney Jean – 03.12.13) November 24, 2013

    POP/ROCK DUO, BAND OR GROUP

    One Direction

    —————————

The AMAs must have forgotten “Linkin Park” still exists.

  28. WhatInThe?! November 24, 2013

When did Cynthia cover vogue? Lmao!!!

  29. Lovebird (Britney Jean – 03.12.13) November 24, 2013

Well at least the AMAs had an RnB/Soul category, some award shows scrapped this category altogether.

  30. JER November 24, 2013

What kind of mess are the American Music AWards

  31. Skyfall November 24, 2013

I never even heard of that “Cruise” song until tonight

  32. Lovebird (Britney Jean – 03.12.13) November 24, 2013

    NNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    NOT CYNTHIA COVERING VOGUE

  33. ENOUGH ONIKA (NEW & IMPROVED) November 24, 2013

    @WhatInThe That’s Onika paying homage hun…

  34. F*** katy November 24, 2013

    No awards for Katy? Lmao

  35. Lovebird (Britney Jean – 03.12.13) November 24, 2013

    NO AWARDS FOR GAGA.

Plus Katy got a STANDING OVATION, GAGA DIDN’T.

  36. ENOUGH ONIKA (NEW & IMPROVED) November 24, 2013

    Queen Cynthia (see avi)

  37. Lovebird (Britney Jean – 03.12.13) November 24, 2013

    CHART CHECK

    #16 Unconditionally
    #22 Do what you want

So after grinding and groping R.Kelly on stage, her song is still FLOPPING harder than Run the Flop…..I can’t.

  38. F*** katy November 25, 2013

B**** Katy was the worst female performer of the night shes so lame and basic.@ Birdshit

  39. Honeymoon Avenue November 25, 2013

She wasn’t nominated and missed the nomination window. Try again.

  40. ENOUGH ONIKA (NEW & IMPROVED) November 25, 2013

    @F***Katy that would be GayGay…

  41. Lovebird (Britney Jean – 03.12.13) November 25, 2013

And still, Katy got a standing ovation, Gaga didn’t.

    And yet;

    #16 Unconditionally
    #22 Do what you want

And yet Now 48 & Hunger games soundtrack will sell more copies than Artpop this Billboard week.

  42. Honeymoon Avenue November 25, 2013

^^^ that was for the Katy hater

  43. Honeymoon Avenue November 25, 2013

I’m just glad Ariana won her first major award! Congrats to everyone else!

  44. JohnRennolds November 25, 2013

  46. Rosie November 25, 2013

Anyways Black Twitter is still dragging Lil Mama for filth.

    • miss ross the boss *icon* November 25, 2013

idk why — she was the best thing about that lifeless performance. poor tionne, bless her heart — but she just aint got it anymore.

  47. JohnRennolds November 25, 2013

Remember when Janet, Boyz II Men, Carey, & TLC used to dominate these awards.

    • JOHNVIDAL November 25, 2013

Yaaass those were the days when mainstream music was about talent. One of the most iconic nights was when Whitney Houston won like 5 or 6 awards in one night in the late 80s, she even cried, it was really really beautiful, there is a video on youtube with her 5 or 6 wins in only 3 minutes or so. She won like 8 in one night in 1994 too for the Bodyguard.

  48. Slayty Perry (Selling Out the O2 Arena Twice On the Same Tour) November 25, 2013

Booboo did you forget back in 2011 when the American Music Awards created a special award for tying Michael Jackson’s record? When they make up an award for your forgotten fav get at me.

I don’t need to drag anyone, the good sis Lovebird has taken care of it. I will say though that the country and R&B winners are a disgrace. Carrie Underwood should’ve won and so should Alicia Keys for having the best selling R&B album released in last 2 years.

  49. SLADY GAGA November 25, 2013

    This made me giggle. lol

  50. Navy NIck November 25, 2013

I just DO NOT understand how Rihanna wins SOUL/RA&B, HOW?!?! SHE IS SOULESS!!! haha, I LOVE RIHANNA, BUT honey, BUT she IS NOT R&B @ ALL, she is POP-ROCK chile…goodbye

  51. Mark111 November 25, 2013

“Rihanna can’t sing, she won’t be remembered. ” iCON b******! I love how she give all credit to her fans and her team. In interviews she always states TEAM. She’s more of a team player solo than another artist was in their group. Cocky yet humble at the same time.

50 million albums from someone who can’t sell albums they say. Time and time again, she prove all wrong. She will go down in music history, while y’all will be mad, maybe then, you haters will deal. Ya should, it’s better for your pathetic lives.

    • JOHNVIDAL November 25, 2013

LOL Rihanna has not sold 50 million albums, it´s as clear as day. She´s stuck in 30 million or so.

  52. Lovebird (Britney Jean – 03.12.13) November 25, 2013

Mary J. Blige says Rihanna “absolutely deserves” her Icon Award at tonight’s American Music Awards 2014 because of how much people admire her right now:

“She deserves that because, as an icon, she is super on point,” Mary J Blige exclusively told Capital FM ahead of the American Music Awards this weekend. “Like we look at her, people look at her and they admire her style, they admire her swag and who she is,” Mary explained. “So she absolutely deserves that right now.”

  53. skyfall November 25, 2013

Rihanna did her thang tonight PERIOD.
That was the best performance of diamonds she’s did since
    The X factor and snl

  54. Beautiful bey November 25, 2013

Rihanna congratulations for your awards love you mama.

  55. Pop Professor November 25, 2013

I wish people would stop complaining,I mean this isn’t the Grammy’s and whoever is the most popular wins at The American Music Awards and this is how it has been since the start.
I’m not a huge Rihanna fan(mainly due to her rabid stans)but her music can easily pass for Contemporary R&B and if a few of you knew the genre well you would know that qualifies her for R&B categories.
Im still not understanding what Beyonce has to do with an award show she didn’t even perform at or attend. For the last time you can’t buy Grammy’s.You can buy Mtv music awards,Bet Awards,American Music Awards, mercury’s,and most of anything else, Grammy’s no. The shade is, the one saying it is always the one wrong about everything. I do wonder how much Katy had to pay production to make the audience and attendees stand up and clap after that terrible vocal performance. Riri sounded good for her and everything else was just a bore.

  56. Stop the drama start the music November 25, 2013

Neither did Katy. Gaga-5 Grammys. Katy will be lucky to end up with 1.

  57. Stop the drama start the music November 25, 2013

My earlier comment was directed to the pressed soul lovebird….

  58. Tash November 25, 2013

    Boring ass show

  59. Tash November 25, 2013

@Lovebird you forgot about Beyonce being one of the only ones to win awards as much as you hate to admit shes one of the only ones flying the tourch along with Rihanna for black females still. Nicki who now? Are you that biased?

  60. Stop the drama start the music November 25, 2013

I know hoebird is jealous becuz everyone knows Gaga is the entertainer and vocalist Katy wants to be. Keep seething b****. XD

  61. Tash November 25, 2013

Or rather ‘conveniently left out, not forgotten about’

  62. Queen Barb November 25, 2013

    Wheres flopgas award tho???

  63. csare.app November 25, 2013

Ciara should win! She brought the best R’n’B album this year!

  64. cocobutta November 25, 2013

The point made was about female and male.
“she is the ONLY BLACK artist to win this year”

    • cocobutta November 25, 2013

      RIRI

  65. Gabriel November 25, 2013

Nothing to say about the awards. Congratulations to Justin, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Ariana. Jennifer Lopez made a great job in honor to Celia Cruz. J.Lo knows how to bring the Latin flavor. Araiana Grande, WOW! Great performance. But next year I know it’s going to be a better award ’cause Beyoncé, Mariah and other big artists (and real artists who got talent not only image) are coming back! (:

  66. Tiesha November 25, 2013

No vocal coach is enough when you cant sing to begin with.

  67. JOHNVIDAL November 25, 2013

LOL What a f****** joke! As always.
Have you guys seen the winner for “Single of the Year”???
I know grammys are not the ultimate truth and they are not what they used to be, but they are the only awards with a little bit of credibility. When you let basic kids vote for these things this is what happens (in the past it was like this too, but mainstream music was full of real talent, so the votes from the kids went to the best artists anyway, now they have a lot of trash to choose from, so it´s all crap).

  68. mekaela November 25, 2013

Why every year you haters mad when ri win anything u should be f****** mad that white men taking ovet r&b ri is the only black artist with a strong fan base that voted for her so stop minimizing her accomplishments look at gaga taylor swift fans voted for her and gaga have more twitter stop complaining its about the votes

  69. mekaela November 25, 2013

Did u and enough of her fans voted stop complaining its about fans vote and obviously her fans were been lazy

  70. TAYLOR SWIFTS NUMBER 1 FAN!!! November 25, 2013

OMG Taylor swift slayed the American music awards!!!
    -Artist of the year!!!!
    -Country album
    -County female Artist

Wow at Artist of the year. She deserved it:)

    We swifties are the best!!

  71. Os November 25, 2013

Gratz to the winners. especially Riri on that Icon award she doing her thing well deserve.

  72. Michael November 25, 2013

Thank goodness Jennifer Lopez and Lady Gaga performed on last nights AMA’s cause that was one boring ass show! JLO and Lady Gaga killed it tho! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE TLC but whyyyyyyy must they always sing Waterfalls? They could have done a cute little medley of some of their hits but I’m tired of them singing Waterfalls already. Give up some Creep or Red Light Special! Kesha’s performance was entertaining as well.

  73. ratedx(love is beautiful) November 25, 2013

you know what I find very amazing is that the people complains that, music has been garbage for a while..are the same people who stay talking about number 1 singles and album sales..

music is dead because all yall care about is the charts and so on.

when there are plenty pf people who has been releasing great albums, but because they not on the charts they are flops

    • JOHNVIDAL November 25, 2013

Well in my eyes Janelle Monae has the best album of the year and I bought my physical copy a month ago…and it didn´t sell a damn thing. So I hope you weren´t refering to me 🙂

  74. JohnRennolds November 25, 2013

@JOHNVIDAL THANK YOU Janelle’s album was on point!!! Ppl just don’t take time to listen to her. Be 4real she can out sing & dance rihanna on any given day. I Dnt know what rihanna was doing on stage…she too stiff.

    • JOHNVIDAL November 25, 2013

      Obviously!

  75. WTH November 25, 2013

I’m not the biggest Rihanna fan, just a casual listener but I will say that I am very proud of her Icon Award win last night. I’m black and seeing a black girl (regardless if you think she bleaches, mixed, etc) up there to win an award like that makes me happy. To see a black female cross over universally in music where she’s charting in pop music and the holds the record as the biggest digital sales artist in music right now speaks volumes. I may not like her personality or some of the gimmicks she tries to pull but Rihanna has indeed established herself as an icon so congrats to her.

Side note: I wonder how many rappers were pissed at that Macklemore win.

  76. Rihanna # 1 Fan T November 25, 2013

MY BABY GOT AN ICON AWARD I AM SO HAPPY, SO PROUD OF HER SHE DESERVED IT, ITS ABOUT TIME SHE GET SOME RECOGNITION…

ALTHOUGH I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY ITS NEVER BEEN GAVE OUT BEFORE LIKE WHAT ABOUT BEYONCE, OR KATY PERRY OR OTHER BIG ARTIST THAT DID WELL… THESE AWARD SHOWS BE BIASED SOMETIMES, STILL HAPPY FOR HER THO..
