Weigh In: “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve Presents: The 30 Greatest Women in Music”

The annual “Dick Clark New Year’s Rockin’ Eve festivity is happening as we speak on ABC.

With acts like Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, and Jason Derulo hitting the stage to ring in 2014, fans are glued to television sets Stateside to countdown the arrival of the New Year on each of the country’s coasts.

But, before viewers could get a glimpse of the night’s performers, ABC shared a special countdown “30 Greatest Women in Music” to honor and rank their favorite dynamic divas. While the expected entries like Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, and Barbra Streisand found interesting placements on the tally, it was their younger counterparts (i.e. Taylor Swift, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga) whose appearances on the list polarized fans.

Nevertheless, no criteria for the ladies’ ranking has been revealed.  So, for those who have yet to see it, cop and gander and tell us your thoughts below:
