Are Caucasian entertainers allowed to use the ‘N’ word?

Pose that question to ‘Black Fall’ Rapper Yelawolf and the answer you’ll receive is simply…no.

Quizzed on the matter during an interview Hip Hop tastemaker DJ Vlad, the lyricist went to great lengths to explain why the word’s cruel past is all the reason white lyricists should need to stop using it altogether.

A past, his upbringing in the Southern state of Alabama forced him to acknowledge well before he picked up a mic.

His words below…

So, let us know…

Do you agree with him?

As long as the word is used as a term of endearment and not one that is derogatory , then every rapper/person of every race should be allowed to use it.

Anybody who thinks otherwise supports racism.

You’re obviously not African-American (or maybe you don’t know your history, which would be very sad). You will not convince me otherwise.

I appreciate his point of view. And it would be really off-putting if, Yelawolf (who’s girlfriend/wife/fiance is FeFe Dobson) was running around using that word. There is too much history in that one. Especially if you’re from the south.

People think it’s impossible for rappers(white or black) to not use the n word. Eminem has been in this industry for over 12 years and he has never used it in his songs, freestyles, interviews or concerts(even when he was high) and for that,he has my respect. Macklemore too. Glad to know there is yet another rapper with common sense. PS:Yelawolf’s album slays
