No Janet is an ARTIST! Just because she has a soft voice doesn’t mean she isn’t a good singer. She stayed on key and knew her voice. Same with Diana Ross. Ciara has a lot of problems vocally that Janet never had. Janet made a statement with her music and videos. Beyonce has taken a lot of inspiration from Janet. Case in point: Ring The Alarm performance from the VMA’s.

Oh please! As I much as I love Beyonce, I feel as though she has not yet reached the level that Janet reached artistically with The Velvet Rope album. Janet Jackson is an icon, the S*** and a much better dancer than Beyonce. However beyonce is in a league all her own, when it comes to music. Beyonce can inspire vocalists (American idol), can inspire dancers (America’s Best Dance Crew tribute), inspire musicians (See COUNTLESS props given by musicians from STRICTLY. A vocal/musicianship standpoint) and she has been pretty much the undisputed “head chick in the game” for some time now. Janet was never the “top all around ” chick.
