Better late than never.

The above may be a sentiment adopted by R&B staple John Legend, whose latest album ‘Love in the Future‘ is enjoying an epic chart revival of sorts this year…seven months after its August 2013 release.

Full story below…

Despite launching with modest opening-week sales of 68,000 units, Legend’s continued push of the album on the venue-filling ‘Made To Love’ tour and the 56th annual Grammy awards have shed fresh light on the release, forcing the general public to pay attention to all its material had to offer.

…and pay they did. For, in news that’s set to silence any who’d written the project off, this week saw it score a sales increase of 77% in the US, shifting 20,133 units since last week’s charts were published!

Peaking at #4 on the Billboard 200, the album is now on course to spend this week at #15, doing so after its Toby Gad-penned piece ‘All of Me’ was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America, for shipments of over 500,000 units.

Elsewhere, as Pink‘s ‘The Truth About Love‘ returns to the Top 50 with 7,837 units, Beyonce’s self-titled new album returns to the Top 5, thanks 50,132 copies sold in the last week. As it stands, the project now holds the #4 spot, five places above Katy Perry’s ‘Prism’ which sits pretty 32,395 copies shifted within the same space of time.
