K. Michelle shows no signs on slowing in the campaign for debut album ‘Rebellious Soul’.
The singer and reality star’s latest stop was The Arsenio Hall Show last night, where she roused with a stirring rendition of current single ‘Can’t Raise A Man’.
During her sit-down interview, the ever-spoken Michelle also dished on her interesting musical background, as well as her haters.

Sound a mess
At this point, I feel embarrassed for K.Martchelle. She has the nerve to open her mouth to talk bad about Tamar’s vocals when she was injured, but on her best day she can’t deliver a vocal performance as good as Tamar’s worst day.
Here are two most horrible things about her singing:
1) She she NO range! How can you be a singer and your voice is only a quarter of an octave? Also, she tries so hard to push her voice and she just sounds shouty.
2) Her runs are horrid and misplaced. She bragged about her musical education in the interview, but she obviously never learned how to execute runs with respect for lyrical and musical lines.
K.Martchelle should humble herself and go and get some vocal training because she is literally worse than Keyshia Cole vocally. Rather than running her mouth about women who can sing circles around her, she should be studying them. Let’s face it: There’s a reason why Tamar Braxton was nominated for three Grammy Awards and the Grammy Committee doesn’t even know K.Martchelle’s name…
She’s so wack to me Tamar is much better even tho i don’t like Tamar.

Let me start off by saying I have K’s album (Best Buy exclusive) and I’m a fan. I however would never go to a show. She is very off key and borderline straining. I thinks she need also needs to humble herself. Nothing wrong with a little rachet and some musical talent backing, but it can’t be seen with performances like this. Instead of yapping, she should be practicing. I don’t think she is worse than Keyshia Cole vocally, but some more training would her and her sloppy vocal runs good. If she doesn’t want to do vocal training then learn from those who came before her (Whitney I’m Your Baby Tonight, Mariah Vision of Love Brandy He Is Tamar Pieces Beyoncé Dangerously in Love live in Los Vegas Aretha any song off gosel greats) and just learn how to execute your voice with resonance without yelling or sounding forced. I like her attitude though. She is pretty. I would just like to see that improvement. No shade at all. I can’t wait to see her reality show.

All of you sound ridiculous. Lets keep it real. Both Tamar & K. Michelle are studio sigers who have good & bad vocal momments. I would like to say K. Michelle has a given 2.3 Octives while Tamar has 3.5. Both of these singers think way too highly of themselves. At the end of the day, neither of them will be remembered as R&B legends like Aretha, Toni, Mary, etc. However, I do like K. Michelle more than Tamar. Minus her horeible behavior & her pettiness (that Tamar has too), the girl is talented. She writes amazing music & I feel as if she should just be a writter. She also has her own identity. Tamar however lacks in the identity section. Its like she wants to have Mariah Vocals and Beyonce stage presence when she can do neither. Her music is like shes tryna win over this generation instead of her own. She could be recognized for more than Toni’s little sister buy she doesn’t apply herself. Therefor K. Michelle is way better than Tamar to me. However I do have both of there albums & play them a lot. I just wish people would stop with the jokes and support people.
@R&B Lover – Your comment is ridiculous. K.Martchelle consistently produces terrible live performances. Go and watch her performance of this same song on VH1’s Morning Buzz. She sounded horrendous. Her runs always sound all over the place and she struggles to sing on key. She always sounds flat. The girl is a below average singer, both in the studio and live. Also, her studio recordings all sound autotuned! Her album is unbearable because of the autotune.
By contrast, Tamar is generally excellent live, except for the time she was injured. Even while injured, Tamar produced better live performances than K.Martchelle in full voice. Has K.Martchelle ever produced a vocal as brilliant any live rendition of Tamar’s “Silent Night”? The answer is NO! Trying to act like these two women are on the same level vocally is crazy. Tamar slaughters K.Martchelle in every single way.
Tamar has been recognized as more than Toni Braxton’s little sister. You sound so dumb saying she’s only known as Toni’s little sister. You do realize that Tamar is a THREE-TIME Grammy-nominated vocalist, right? People don’t get recognized at the Grammys for being artists’ family members, otherwise Solange would be a Grammy-nominated singer too. Tamar accomplished that because of her phenomenal vocal talent.
Tamar has hit Mariah-style whistle notes in the SEVENTH OCTAVE and can belt in the upper 5th octave with complete ease! K.Martchelle struggles to hit middle notes in the fourth octave. But you can keep believing your lies about K.Martchelle only having one less octave than Tamar if it makes you feel better.
The reason K.Martchelle has a career is because of people who don’t know anything about what good singing is all about. That’s why people compare a poor singer like K.Martchelle to a true vocal beast like Tamar Braxton. You should be ashamed of yourself.
