Two years after riding British chart waves with her debut album ‘ORA‘, Rita Ora sets her sights on the world with its follow-up this year, announcing plans to kick off its campaign…next week!
Hurricane Rita’s news below…
Announcing plans to drop her latest release next week while at the ‘Elle Style Awards’, her news comes one day after Rimmel London released a teaser from their forthcoming campaign with the star, featuring a snippet of the single, ‘I Will Never Let You Down.’
Marking her first internationally-geared project, Ora’s sophomore set will stand as one of many Roc Nation projects to touch down this year, with Shakira, Rihanna and Kylie Minogue all on course to unleash new music in the months to follow this one.
With so much time (and money) being invested to ensure Rita pops off globally this year, we’re seriously hoping she has no intentions of hitting the USA with ‘Let You Down.’
For, if its snippet is anything to go by, the radio friendly cut is more bland that it is Billboard worthy, giving us no choice but to wonder who gave its release ‘the OK.’
Surely, with many a writer clamouring to give Rita their material, ROC could have sourced a lead single far stronger than this one, packing the chart-scorching heat found in the likes of ‘Radioactive’ and ‘Where Have You Been?’, but undeniably absent in ‘Down.’
The kind of launch single we had in mind for her?
