#1.
After rising to R&B notoriety surfacing word-of-mouth waves pushed by streaming currents, it would seem Elijah Blake is now on course to turning his grassroots water into digital wine this week…heading straight for the chart position above.
How?
Find out below!
After hitting the outlet on March 18th 2014, Blake’s continued push of new single ‘Sing For Me‘ paid off last night, when the song was lifted to iTunes R&B‘s Top Twenty by the general public.
Indeed, in proving that their support of him lies far deeper than spins on SoundCloud and YouTube, the singer’s fan base purchased enough copies of the single to place it at #17, without the aid of a supporting music video or televised live performance.
Interesting, as it is now outperforming the East-Coast serving of Chris Brown‘s ‘Loyal’, August Alsina‘s ‘Kissin’ on my Tattoos’, K.Michelle‘s ‘Can’t Raise a Man’ and Janelle Monae‘s ‘Primetime.’
Yet to announce the release date of its parent album, Blake’s rise with ‘Sing’ precedes the December 2012 release of ‘Bijoux 22′, responsible the ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ spun ‘XOX‘ and the Alternative R&B effort, ‘Runnin’ Blind.’
Come through Elijah!
Slay a bit.
I bought it when it first came out.
Why is everything a competion with you?
Learn to spell before you comment b****.
The word you’re looking for is competition s***.
ABC finna be so mad. They said he would never chart.
The slayage.
He really deserves it imo. I used to watch when used to sing on YT back in the day so I’m happy that he’s coming up now.
I bet that b**** Lovebird didn’t buy it even though she says she stans for him. #FlipFlopperAssBitch
I knew it would happen for him eventually but I lowkey wish this had happened with a better song because SFM is not the tea.
True tea girl, Vendetta is better.
I will be so mad if his album sounds like SFM 2bh. I feel like he’s deeper than than s*** and he needs to give us the emotion he was giving on B22.
Has Slayriah showed her face since yesterday?
No, the b**** is in hiding. I mean what kind of self exposure was that?
Miss thing played haself something wicked.
Poor Slayriah will never be the same again lol.
This is not impressive by any means. Many songs from the 90’s are still charting in the Top 20 on the iTunes r&b chart. In fact, an artist does not need to sell very many singles to make the top 20. Let’s celebrate when radio picks up the song and ignites mass interest in this project.
