As fans of Beyonce, Jay Z, Drake, and more rejoiced at news of their fave leading the nominee pack for the 2014 BET Awards, spectators anxiously awaited news on who the year’s host and lifetime achievement award recipient would be.
Well, wonder no more.
For, just moments ago, BET took to Twitter to unveil news that the 14th annual showing of the BET Awards would be hosted by none other than legendary comedian Chris Rock.
Remembered most for his standup comedy and controversial hosting duties of the MTV Video Music Awards over a decade ago, we can say that if those showings are any indication, this year’s awards may be the most memorable yet.
While we await news on who this year’s lifetime achievement award recipient will be (we’ll keep our fingers crossed for Tina Turner or Janet Jackson), tell us:
