After parting with the ‘United Talent Agency’ in April, actor Idris Elba has joined forces with ‘Atlantic Records‘ singer K.Michelle to develop a stage show in honour of her debut album, ‘Rebellious Soul.’

Boasting a storyline lifted from the album’s lyrics, the ‘Rebellious Soul’ musical will see Elba serve as director, doing so in partnership with the album’s performer K.Michelle, her label ‘Atlantic Records’ and Van Toffler‘s ‘VH1‘, on which it will air.
A unique and exciting way to extend the project’s life cycle, the musical comes after the album debuted at #2 on the ‘Billboard 200′, and crossed the 100,000 unit sales mark in its third week of release, led by ‘Pop & Oak’-produced ‘V.S.O.P.’

My only issue about this would be that K is known to most as a hot mess reality star & this could hurt Idris Elba’s career given the fact that he’s a legit Big Actor being apart of multi-million dollar movies like THOR. I hope he knows what he’s doing. Playing one of the only Black Marvel Super Hero’s on the big screen means you have a responsibility to fans to keep good press.
